Moonee Valley hosts a ten-race program on September 7 and our full preview for Saturday is included below.

Here are our free Australian racing tips for Moonee Valley on Saturday.

Moonee Valley Tips on September 7th

Race 1 - 12:10PM Ladbrokes Own Spring Handicap Tips (1600m)

Best: 4. Cocobill. Given he's coming out of a very slowly run affair on debut, I wouldn't be surprised if Cocobill drifts, however, this isn't a vintage metro affair.

The Busuttin & Young stable will have an eye towards the Victoria Derby with the son of Vadamos, who dictated throughout a Seymour romp on August 27.

His jump-out work and first race day appearance suggests that he'll get further and with tactical speed, along with a low draw to use over a mile, he should get his chance.
Value: 2. Peru. It was plain resumption from Peru, however, this yard often turn them around from an early campaign flop and that was the case last campaign with this gelding.

After being well beaten on debut, the three-year-old defeated two progressive rivals in Lario and Four Ace via a 1300m Bendigo event on February 11.

His chasing effort for fourth in the Group 2 Sires' Produce Stakes before a spell was encouraging and he can settle closer second-up from a low draw.

Race 2 - 12:40PM Drummond Golf Handicap Tips (1600m)

Best: 2. Arqana. This is a different set-up campaigning at The Valley and now having carry weight, although each-way odds still look generous for a mare in hot form.

Arqana is on a hat-trick bid and once again she's been produced on the fresh side, so the gap between runs is no knock and she worked very well in a recent jump-out.

She is making up for a string of unlucky efforts before her back-to-back successes and the five-year-old is versatile enough to land closer from an inside alley here.

Value: 5. One Dream One Soul. The sub $5 for Written I Code vs the $40-$50 is a huge discrepancy if going off their last start clash over 1400m at Sandown.

One Dream One Soul has a few lengths to make up, but it's worth noting that Written In Code was fourth-up in that August 21 outing, whereas this mare was first-up.

The ex-Kiwi now gets up to her pet trip (three of her four wins have come over 1600m) and with any improvement off the nice fresh run, she has to have some claims.

Race 3 - 1:15PM Powerflo Solutions Handicap Tips (1600m)

Best: 5. Flash Feeling. While they're all racing consistently, the BM78 form around Nails Murphy, Trosettee and Regal Zeus isn't strong and they're all well exposed.

Flash Feeling stays in a BM84, however, this is a much more suitable affair over 1600m after taking on Running By, The Open, Eloyou etc, who were too sharp over 1400m.

His lead-up work prior that August 17 return was good and the son of Iffraaj has a decent record at Moonee Valley, which includes a track/trip victory early last campaign.

Value: 2. Kettle Hill. His tenth-of-fifteen finish first-up at Flemington was a touch better than it reads, with Kettle Hill okay through the line in that 1420m contest.

He was then disappointing at Caulfield second-up, although given his poor soft track record, that run can be forgiven and he improved off that when runner-up last start.

That form through Rise At Dawn stood up at Listed level last Saturday and along with being a proven weight carrier, he's 1/1 at The Valley, albeit that win was over further.

Race 4 - 1:50PM Strathmore Community Bendigo Bank Handicap Tips (2040m)

Best: 13. Genetian Blue. There was little separating Lauding and Lincoln Rocks from their last clash, and the former arguably should be fav with the claim (and only fourth-up here).

Neither market elects make appeal at their current quotes and the each-way bet in the race is Genetian Blue, a lightly raced New Zealander who isn't far away.

A mare who was Group 1 competitive before a spell, Genetian Blue was 1400m to 1800m last Saturday when making inroads on the rail and 2040m is worth a look off that run.
Value: 14. Rick's Cafe. It's rare to see a nine-year-old mare racing at metro level, but Rick's Cafe was a late starter and this BM78 isn't out of reach fourth-up.

The daughter of Americain has improved with every run this prep, which includes a 1600m outing over this track/trip last start when getting home nicely from the rear.

She recorded the fastest last 200m of that August 24 race and outside of a Group 3 Bendigo Cup attempt where she covered ground, her record at 1600m+ is decent.

Race 5 - 2:25PM Off The Track Chautauqua Stakes Tips (1200m)

Best: 3. Arkansaw Kid. He lacked a killer punch as his three-year-old season wore on and as a result, connections opted to geld Arkansaw Kid ahead of this campaign.

He did what was expected as a short-priced fav via the Regal Roller Stakes and he's once again placed, with the son of Harry Angel only carrying half a kilo more for a similar race.

Arkansaw Kid need yo go back-to-back if he's to measure up in stronger company this spring and while it was on debut as a juvenile in a weak race, he's still 1/1 at The Valley.

Value: 5. Snapper. Bolters odds are available for Snapper as he didn't show up in five appearances last season, which was spread over two campaigns.

The seven-year-old has been given plenty of time ahead of this return and both jump-outs leading in have been sound (won his latest over 900m at Kilmore).

He was a noted Moonee Valley horse when firing, while with the likelihood of him leading this small field, I could see a move for him at a huge price if there's any on-speed bias.

Race 6 - 3:00PM Musk Creek Farm Atlantic Jewel Stakes Tips (1200m)

Best: 3. Silmarillion. With Ameena and Zeitung both scratched (staying in Sydney), that really opens the door for this Godolphin filly, who heads south in search of a breakthrough.

This is excellent placement by James Cummings to bypass the Furious Stakes at Randwick and instead contest what looks a much weaker black-type event.

She was easily the pick of the on-speed brigade when narrowly beaten second-up in the Silver Shadow Strakes, and either first, third or fourth from that would be short favs in this.

Value: 9. Viola Vivace. I suspect that Viola Vivace will come into her own over a little more ground and this fillies event is often a good launching pad for those types.

After stylish debut win in a three-horse Mornington maiden, the daughter of Nicconi contested the Elwick Stakes over the Tasmanian Carnival before a spell.

Geegees Mistruth (winner) resumed with a second in the Quezette Stakes, so the form is okay and Viola Vivace won a strong jump-out on August 27 (two Group 1 winners in that heat).

Race 7 - 3:35PM McMahon's Dairy McKenzie Stakes Tips (1200m)

Best: 2. Epimeles. A well-bred colt from the same family as Princess Coup (four-time Group 1 winner), Epimeles is one of the more exciting three-year-old's going into the spring.

A strong son of Dundeel, the Busuttin & Young-trained galloper was unbeaten from two appearances (last at Listed level) in autumn and both wins were impressive.

Further plus a bigger track will suit more (Guineas horse?), however, this youngster oozes class and he got the better of a very smart Growing Empire via his last jump-out win.
Value: 5. Red Sea. I don't think he'll be the best horse to come from what's a pretty hot race, although Red Sea may be the best suited here over six furlongs.

The Group 1-placed Kiwi visitor appears more effective at the sprinting caper and his breeding does back that up (by Pierata and out of a speedy Commands mare).

With two trials completed in New Zealand before taking out an 800m Flemington jump-out on August 30, there seems to be clear intent for this Australian debut assignment.

Race 8 - 4:15PM Rexel Electrical Supplies So You Think Stakes Tips (1500m)

Best: 2. Pericles. He brings a strong last start form reference, having finished third as fav in the Group 2 PB Lawrence Stakes and that race produced the Memsie Stakes winner.

Gentleman Roy was also respectable in third via last Saturday's Caulfield feature and in that PB Lawrence Stakes lead-up, Pericles was denied an outside run at the 300m.

That did halt his momentum at a key stage in what still a sound resumption and with his two biggest career peaks having both coming second-up, he's the one to beat here.

Value: 11. Devoted. The six-year-old was terrific fresh when on stable debut for the Hayes boys, with a runner-up finish recorded at Flemington despite covering ground.

He then failed to settle at Caulfield second-up, which is no surprise given it was a tactical affair in a small field and I wouldn't be sacking him off that last performance.

The form through both outings for the new yard has stood up through Rise At Dawn and Gentleman Roy, while Mark Zahra taking the reins on Saturday is a plus

Race 9 - 4:50PM Charter Keck Cramer Moir Stakes Tips (1000m)

Best: 6. Estriella. The four-year-old has upside, with only eight starts from two preps and with further progression, she could be among Australia's leading sprinters this season.

Estriella did a bit wrong early, but she furnished with a campaign under her belt and Blake Shinn takes this fresh engagement (he was aboard for the hat-trick early this year).

Connections will have bigger targets in mind for Estriella (Everest), but she still needs to tick the Group 1 box and she can make a statement first-up in the Moir Stakes.
Next Best: 1. I Wish I Win. The Moody & Coleman-trained galloper broke a 14-month winning drought in his last winter appearance and he defeated an in-form Bella Nipotina in the process.

Although his main spring aim will The Everest, the Moir Stakes is a logical starting point early in the campaign and I Wish I Win now has some confidence under the belt.

He has been sparingly raced since taking out the 2022 Golden Eagle, but a three-run prep last time in and a shorter turnaround here suggests that they've got him right.

Value: 9. Hayasugi. If any horse is suited by drawing out in this nine-horse field then it's Hayasugi, a filly who covered ground when taking out the Blue Diamond Stakes last campaign.

She was also afforded galloping room in both wins leading up to the hat-trick bid, where the Clinton McDonald-trained sprinter showed nice improvement from her first prep.

Her lead-up to the Moir Stakes has been good via a pair of jump-outs and three-year-old fillies have had recent success in this race (Coolangatta and She Will Reign).

Race 10 - 5:25PM Ladbrokes Racing Club Handicap Tips (1200m)

Best: 8. Miss Aria. Another win from the flying and fit Piastri wouldn't shock, although the form around him isn't great and in a harder affair, I was happy too look around the fav.

Miss Aria will have residual fitness from the Queensland Winter Carnival, with the daughter of Zoustar freshened-up since a runner-up finish in the Winx Stakes on July 14.

Distance-wise, he's versatile (won over 1000m first-up last prep) and off a lovely recent jump-out when cruising under a hold, she can figure en route to bigger targets this spring.

Value: 1. Superazi. The main knock is staying at 1200m second-up, as he still might be a run short with a 1400m event in mind, however, Superazi is in very good order.

The six-year-old followed up strong lead-up work with a second over this track/trip and Extratwo (winner) then placed at Group 3 level via her next appearance.

That form should be stacking up for this BM84 and while there's more question marks in regards to the map for Saturday's tilt, he can be ridden colder if need be.
