Thursday's card at York features the headline race of the entire meeting, the Dante Stakes. This 10-and-a-half-furlong Grade Two is considered a strong trial for the Epsom Derby, and ten horses have managed to complete that famous double since St Paddy won both races in 1960.
We've taken a look through the runners set to line up in Thursday's Dante and picked out our best betting tips.

High Definition shot straight to the head of the Derby betting after last year's Beresford Stakes, where he surged from near last turning in to win by close to a length. Aidan O'Brien's charge missed the Lingfield Derby Trial after scoping poorly, but he's been confirmed at York and looks like the one to beat.
The only Group One winner in the field is Gear Up, who beat current favourite for the Derby, Bolshoi Ballet to win at Saint-Cloud back in October. Mark Johnston has already watched Dubai Fountain win an Oaks Trial, and he clearly has high hopes for this son of Teofillo.
Hurricane Lane is unbeaten in two career starts, and the form of his reappearance win at Newbury has been boosted by Maximal and River Alwen. Royal Champion suffered the first loss of his career in the Feilden, but he did manage to finish one place ahead of Youth Spirit, who won the Chester Vase last week.
John Gosden has two in the running, and Frankie Dettori has opted to ride Uncle Bryn. Gosden's charge was comfortably beaten as the 11/10 favourite in the Classic Trial at Lingfield, and neither Wirko nor Technique have managed to advertise that form since.
Martin Harley picks up the ride on Megallan, who won nicely at Newcastle on his second start of the new season, and could take well to this step up in trip.
Alenquer made all to score a surprise victory in the Classic Trial at Sandown on his reappearance. Tom Marquand's mount kept on well to beat two Godolphin runners who were beaten last week, and this looks another step up in grade.
Jim Bolger has already won the 2000 Guineas this season, and he sends over Flying Visit, who placed second behind Bolshoi Ballet on his reappearance. Belloccio, Pythagoras and Aidan O'Brien's second runner Roman Empire - who will be ridden by Hollie Doyle - round off the field.

High Definition looks tailormade for this sort of trip, and his performance in the Beresford marked him down as a big improver. However, given he was forced to miss Lingfield after returning some poor bloods, and the fact that many of Aidan O'Brien's runners have needed their first run this term, I'm prepared to take the favourite on.
The one I fancy most at the prices is MEGALLAN, who isn't currently entered in the Epsom Derby.
John Gosden's colt only managed to win once as a juvenile, but did get very unlucky when running into traffic behind One Ruler and Van Gogh in the Autumn Stakes. Megallan was out nice and early this season, finishing a close second over seven furlongs at Lingfield before beating Legion Of Honour in the Burradon Stakes.
Martin Harley's mount is by a top sire in Kingman, and his damn was a Listed winner over this distance. If Megallan can upset High Definition and claim the victory, and Anthony Oppenheimer will have to seriously think about supplementing Megallan into next month's Derby.
