With 2020 now finally consigned to history, the British public can eagerly look forward to a much better year in 2021. We've taken a look through all of the special offers that bookmakers have rolled out for the upcoming year and highlighted five of the best that punters can jump on now!

2021 Horse Racing Special Bets - Tops Five

Bet365's Battaash Special

Battaash may turn seven on New Year's Day, but Charlie Hills' star remains the best sprinter in the UK. In 2020, Battaash ran three times, winning a fourth King George at Goodwood, while also collecting Group One victories at Royal Ascot and York's Ebor Festival.

It will be more of the same for Battaash in 2020, where the Kings Stand Stakes and the Nunthorpe will be his primary objectives again. Battaash will need to land a third Group One in 2021 for this bet to come home, but there are plenty of options in Ireland, France and even the Breeders' Cup for Hills and Sheikh Hamdan to consider.

Ladbrokes' Guineas And Oaks Offer

Any horse to win the 1,000 Guineas and OaksLadbrokes' 2021 Horse Racing SpecialGET 5/1 HERE
+18 only. Gamble Responsibly. Ts and Cs apply. Ladbrokes is operated by LC International Limited (Suite 6, Atlantic Suites, Gibraltar) and licensed (ref 54743) and regulated by the British Gambling Commission for persons gambling in Great Britain. For persons gambling outside Great Britain, Ladbrokes is licensed (ref 010, 012) by the Government of Gibraltar and regulated by the Gibraltar Gambling Commissioner.

The only trainer who has a chance of training the winner of both these fabled Classics is Aidan O'Brien. O'Brien has saddled the winner of the 1000 Guineas in four of the last five seasons, and the Epsom Oaks winner in five of the last nine years.

Minding and Love have both landed the 1000 Guineas and Epsom Oaks double in the last six years, and O'Brien sees the Guineas as an ideal prep-race for the Oaks. Santa Barbara, Cartouche, Willow and Mother Earth all sit prominently in the current betting for the 1000 Guineas, and all four have scope to improve massively during 2021.

Betfred's Shishkin Special

The two most exciting horses in the sport at the moment are Envoi Allen and Shishkin. Envoi Allen will likely be stepped up to three miles in the second half of 2021, meaning he may have to run in races like the John Durkan or the Savills Chase over Christmas, which will test Gordon Elliott's charge massively.

Shishkin is already a short-price to win the 2021 Arkle Challenge Trophy. The Maghull Novices' Chase at Aintree is an options after the Cheltenham Festival. Henderson could also take the Altior approach with Shishkin, throwing him in with his elders in the Celebration Chase, before a run in the Tingle Creek on his reappearance the following season.

There's a strong chance Shishkin could be just as good as Altior, and 8/1 for Henderson's star to remain unbeaten throughout the year seems generous.

Bet365's Stradivarius Special

With that bizarre notion that Stradivarius could win an Arc out of his head, owner Bjorn Nielsen will surely now take his star stayer down a tried and tested path in 2021. Stradivarius proved at Ascot that he remains the best two-miler in the business, and I can't see that changing in 2021.

A fourth Ascot Gold Cup on the bounce will be his primary target, followed by a fifth-straight Goodwood Cup triumph. Having lost twice in the race, the Long Distance Cup could be off the table - which would be good for this bet, as it only holds Grade Two status.

John Gosden could two French Grade Ones staged in October, the Prix du Cadran or the Prix Royal-Oak. A sneaky tilt at the Irish St Leger isn't beyond the realms of possibility either.

Betway's Cheltenham Festival Offer

At 33/1, this has to be one of the best horse racing bets in 2021. Willie Mullins and Gordon Elliott have dominated the Cheltenham Festival. Since 2011, Mullins has ended the week as Leading Trainer seven times, with Elliott picking up that award in 2017 and '18.

There are currently 28 races at the Cheltenham Festival, meaning Ireland's top two trainers would have to win over half of the races between them. Yet, 14 of the current 2021 Cheltenham Festival markets are headed by horses trained by either Mullins or Elliott, and the Irish are bound to find contenders to trouble the British market leaders in races like the Champion Hurdle, Stayers' Hurdle, Ballymore, Albert Bartlett and all three of the handicap chases.

Another year of Irish dominance at the Cheltenham Festival seems inevitable.
