ITV Racing Tips - Friday 9th July

Race 1 - bet365 Handicap Tips

Mark Johnston loves to target this handicap, saddling the winner six times since 2012. His sole runner, KING FRANKEL has done little wrong recently, finishing a close second in the London Gold Cup and fourth behind today's favourite, Foxes Tales at Royal Ascot.

Ben Curtis' mount has four lengths to make up on Foxes Tales, but the gap between the two at the weights has widened from two to eleven pounds and King Frankel has produced his best performances on better ground.

Race 2 - Best Odds Guaranteed Handicap Tips

David Simcock has been keen to turn ISPAHAN into a stayer, trying his four-year-old over 14 furlongs on a number of occasions. Ispahan's best performance came over this distance at Brighton, where Jamie Spencer's mount powered home from the rear to win by four lengths.

Judging by that performance, Simcock's four-year-old is definitely capable of challenging off a mark of 85 and a little extra juice in the ground could emphasise his stamina.

Race 3 - Duchess Of Cambridge Stakes Tips

The top three from the Albany Stakes meet again here. Oscula ran a cracking solo-effort down the rail to finish third that day, and George Boughey's filly could make the running from stall one. Hello You hit the front a little too soon at Ascot, and could improve again now back on better ground.

SANDRINE picked up gamely to win the Albany, and was pulling clear of her rivals as she crossed the line a one-and-a-half length victory. Andrew Balding's filly handled the heavy ground better than everyone at Ascot, but I can't see the switch to a quicker surface posing this daughter of Bobby's Kitten a problem. I fancy Sandrine will frank that Royal Ascot form.

Race 4 - Summer Stakes Tips

Declaring Love E/W2:40pm William Hill Summer Stakes (Group 3) 6fGET 14/1 HERE

Older horses have won six of the last nine editions of this Group Three, so I'm going to take an each-way punt on John Butler's progressive sprinter, DECLARING LOVE

Shane Kelly's mount has improved with each of her runs this season. Declaring Love won a five-furlong Listed race on quick ground at Bath, and stayed on to finish a strong fourth behind Liberty Beach in the Temple Stakes on heavy ground last time out.

Over six furlongs, Declaring Love has claimed two impressive wins and finished a close second to Daahyeh on her career debut in 2019. At 14/1, she looks an excellent each-way bet in a wide-open renewal of this Group Three.

Race 5 - bet365 Trophy Tips

Arthurian Fable E/W3:00pm Newmarket bet365 Trophy (Heritage Handicap) 1m6fGET 13/2 HERE

I've been a keen follower of ARTHURIAN FABLE'S since watching him win at Sandown last July. I then backed Brian Meehan's charge at a big price in the Melrose Handicap, where he finished second, before a disappointing run on heavy ground at Haydock in September.

Arthurian Fable has finished fourth on both his starts this season, but hasn't been beaten far in either of those big handicaps at Newmarket and Ascot. Ryan Moore's mount remains well-treated and should continue his fine form with another strong showing.
