ITV Racing Tips - Saturday 10th July

Race 1 - John Smith's Racing Handicap Tips

Poet's Dawn E/W1:45pm York John Smith's Racing Handicap (Class 2) 1mGET 16/1 HERE

Ella McCain has an excellent record on POET'S DAWN this season. The pair made all to win back-to-back handicaps at Beverley and were only beaten half-a-length by Thibaan - who sits prominently in the Golden Mile Handicap betting at Glorious Goodwood - last time out.

Tim Easterby's six-year-old ran up to an RPR of 91 off this very mark at Haydock and McCain's claimer leaves Poet's Dawn with just 8-9 to shoulder.

Race 2 - Fillies' Handicap Tips

RIKNNAH boasts winning form on the July course, having completed a hat-trick when winning nicely here two weeks ago. Simon Crisford's filly has only been put up three pounds for that win, and James Doyle retains his spot in the saddle.

Race 3 - Silver Cup Stakes Tips

HUKUM won over a trip just half a furlong shorter than this at Newbury last season, before finishing fifth in the St Leger. Owen Burrow's four-year-old ran a cracker to place third in a red-hot Hardwicke Stakes last time out, and Broome and Sir Ron Priestley have boosted that form with victories in the last week. Jim Crowley classy mount could be hard to beat.

Race 4 - bet365 Mile Handicap Tips

Latest Generation2:40pm Newmarket bet365 Mile Handicap (Class 2) 1mGET 11/2 HERE

LATEST GENERATION was my selection at Sandown the last day, and James Doyle's mount ran well, he was simply beaten by a very classy sort in Trais Fluors who'd dropped down to an attractive mark. Royal Fleet dominates the betting here, but Latest Generation remains well-treated and should enjoy the quicker ground.

Race 5 - Summer Mile Stakes Tips

SIR BUSKER returns to his favourite track on the back of an excellent third-place finish behind Palace Pier in the Queen Anne Stakes. William Knight's five-year-old won the Silver Royal Hunt Cup here last season, and also finished a good fourth in the QEII on Champions' Day. He can claim the biggest win of his career on Saturday.

Race 6 - Superlative Stakes Tips

Native Trail3:15pm Newmarket bet365 Superlative Stakes (Group 2) 7fGET 7/2 HERE

It was hard not to be impressed by NATIVE TRAIL'S debut victory at Sandown. William Buick, who had positioned the favourite behind the leaders, was one of the first jockeys to get to work as the field entered the final two furlongs. Once Native Trail found his stride, he put the race to bed in excellent style, winning by four lengths.

At £210k, this son of Oasis Dream wasn't a particularly eye-popping purchase by Godolphin, but the way he was backed on debut suggested he'd been working really well at home. Charlie Appleby could have another progressive juvenile on his hands.

Race 7 - Betfred Heritage Handicap Tips

TIS MARVELLOUS won the 2019 renewal of this handicap by two-and-a-half-lengths, off a mark two-pounds higher than what he enters with today. Clive Cox's seven-year-old finished fourth behind Came From The Dark last time out, and the form of that race looks strong. He loves running here at Ascot, and offers plenty of value at an each-way price.

Race 8 - Bunbury Cup Tips

Symbolize E/W3:50pm Newmarket bet365 Bunbury Cup (Heritage Handicap) 7fGET 12/1 HERE
New customers only. 18+ T&Cs and wagering requirements apply.

Classier runners have come to the fore in recent runnings of the Bunbury Cup, with 16 of the last 18 winners carrying 9-00 or more. A wide draw has also proved advantageous, with eight of the last 10 winners coming from double-figure stalls.

With that in mind, I'm going to side with SYMBOLIZE, for the thoroughly in-form Andrew Balding team. Symbolize ran up to an RPR of 108 when second on his reappearance at Newmarket. David Probert's mount was then only beaten five-lengths in the Victoria Cup, and finished second in his group on the slowest side of the track at Royal Ascot last time out.

Even with 9-3 on his back, Oisin Murphy's mount has to be considered a leading contender.

Race 9 - John Smith's Cup Tips

FISHABLE is a horse I've been keen to follow this season, and he appeals most at a lengthy price. Tim Easterby's charge finished eighth behind Surrey Pride here in May, but David Allen's mount reared after leaving the stalls and ran into a wall of runners as he attempted to make his challenge.

At Ripon last time out, Fishable made all and held off a couple of decent rivals to win by half-a-length. The handicapper has only decided to up Fishable by three pounds following that win, and Allan will have been pleased with a wide draw in stall 18.

Race 11 - City Walls Stakes Tips

I fancy a risky punt on TARBOOSH in the final televised race on Saturday. Paul Midgley's eight-year-old flew home from last to finish a close fourth in this race last season, before comfortably beating Urban Beat in a Listed race at Doncaster.

Ben Robinson's mount has been far too keen on his first few runs this season, but he likes York and he's perfectly capable of producing a massive performance.
