ITV Racing Tips - Saturday 3rd July

Race 1 - Coral Charge Tips

Atalis Bay E/W1:50pm Sandown Coral Charge (Group 3) (Registered As The Sprint Stakes) 5fGET 8/1 HERE
18+ only. Ts and Cs apply. Gamble responsibly. Coral is operated by LC International Limited and licensed and regulated by the British Gambling Commission for persons gambling in Great Britain. For persons gambling outside Great Britain, Coral is licensed by the Government of Gibraltar and regulated by the Gibraltar Gambling Commissioner.

With many of the runners in this field likely to be held up, it could be worth taking a chance on the more aggressively ridden ATALIS BAY striking a blow for the three-year-olds.

Marco Botti's sprinter has secured impressive wins on two of his three starts this season, following the superb Winter Power home at York on the only occasion he has tasted defeat. Three-year-olds have won seven of the last ten runnings of this Listed race, and Atalis Bay is a Listed winner over course-and-distance.

Race 2 - bet365 Handicap Tips

Mark Johnston trained the winners of this handicap in 2018 and '19, and HARLEM SOUL could hand the Scotsman his third win in the last four years. Silvestre De Sousa's mount made an impressive handicap debut at Ripon last time out, staying on gamely to win a Class Four by almost three lengths.

Harlem Soul is by a top sire in Frankel. He's also a half brother to a two-time Group Three winner over two miles in Ispolini, and the runner-up in last year's Park Stakes, Vivionn. There's plenty of class and bucket-loads of stamina in his pedigree, so I don't see why a mere four-pound rise will stop him following up.

Race 3 - Coral Challenge Tips

Beat Le Bon E/W2:25pm Sandown Coral Challenge (Handicap) (Class 2) 1mGET 14/1 HERE

It's been a good while since BEAT LE BON last tasted victory, but Richard Hannon's mount is running well enough to suggest he can challenge here.

Sean Levey's mount clocked impressive RPRs at Newmarket and Doncaster, and stayed on fairly well for fifth as Real World produced a monster performance in the Royal Hunt Cup. The ground at Sandown is turning in Beat Le Bon's favour and he doesn't look badly treated with 9-5 on his back.

Race 4 - Lancashire Oaks Tips

Alpinista2:40pm Haydock bet365 Lancashire Oaks (Group 2) 1m4fGET 7/4 HERE
New customers only. 18+ T&Cs and wagering requirements apply.

ALPINISTA burst onto the scene with an emphatic Listed success at Salisbury last season. Sir Mark Prescott's filly then followed Love home in the Yorkshire Oaks, and was gaining on Antonio De Vega with every stride as she finished a close second in the Muharaar Stakes on her final three-year-old start.

Luke Morris' mount wasn't at her best on her reappearance in the Daisy Warwick, but still managed to grind out a narrow win over some strong rivals. I think she's comfortably the best horse in this race, and should be able to deal with the extra weight.

Race 5 - Coral Distaff Tips

Statement3:00pm Sandown Coral Distaff (Listed Race) 1mGET 9/4 HERE
New customers only. 18+ T&Cs and wagering requirements apply.

This doesn't look a very deep renewal of the Distaff, so I'd be surprised if STATEMENT wasn't able to secure a deserved win. Martyn Meade's filly finished just a short-head behind Alcohol Free on her reappearance, and wasn't disgraced in either the 1000 Guineas or at Epsom thereafter. She's certainly the one to beat.

Race 6 - Old Newton Cup Tips

Dark Jedi E/W3:15pm Haydock bet365 Old Newton Cup Handicap (Class 2) 1m4fGET 20/1 HERE

A really tricky puzzle to try and solve, so I'm just going to have a small each-way punt on DARK JEDI. Tim Easterby's charge won twice last season, and finished a close second to Euchen Glen in the Old Borough Cup here at Haydock. David Allen's mount didn't run badly on his reappearance at Windsor, and looks well-handicapped running off 94.
