ITV Racing Tips - Wednesday 12th May

Race 1 - Jorvik Handicap Tips

A really exciting way to open the ITV action on Wednesday, and I fancy a punt on DUBAI SOUQ at a lengthy price. Saeed Bin Suroor's four-year-old has only won once on turf, but that came on soft ground at Nottingham last season, where he clocked an RPR of 100 when thrashing a decent field by six lengths.

Dubai Souq began this season over a mile at Doncaster, and did well to finish 12th considering he's a proper middle-distance horse. Callum Shephard's mount then finished third of three in a trappy little race at Musselburgh, where he travelled like the winner for much of the contest, only to run out of steam late on. Softening ground would help and bin Suroor's horses are in excellent form. 20/1 looks massive.

Race 2 - Churchill Tyres Handicap Tips

I like backing runners who will stay up with the speed throughout in sprint handicaps at York, and the one who appeals most is the fast-starting four-year-old, ABERAMA GOLD.

Keith Dalgleish's front-runner was in excellent form on turf in the autumn, beating King's Lynn at Doncaster before finishing second to Dakota Gold in the Listed Wentworth Stakes. Aberama Gold was kept busy throughout the winter and returns to York - around which he won the Listed Rockingham Stakes in 2019 - in fine form. He can go well at a tasty each-way price.

Race 3 - Duke Of York Stakes Tips

The six-furlong sprinting division is crying out for a star or two, and a win here for ART POWER would propel Tim Eaterby's four-year-old to the head of the Diamond Jubilee Stakes betting.

Art Power enjoyed an excellent three-year-old campaign last season, winning at Royal Ascot and a Group Three at the Curragh, before rounding off a busy campaign with a couple of placed efforts in Group Ones.

The only out-and-out front-runner here is Emaraaty Ana, with most of the rest of the field likely to try and play their hand late. Art Power could drift over to Emaraaty Ana from stall nine, and could be hard to peg back if ridden in a positive manner.

Race 4 - Musidora Stakes Tips

Race 5 - Sky Bet Handicap Tips

Huddleton Mac E/W3:40pm Sky Bet Handicap (Class 3) 7fGET 6/1 HERE
18+ only. Gambling can be addictive. Play responsibly.

HUDDLETON MAC started this season with a tough assignment in the Greenham Stakes. Hughie Morrison's charge didn't help his own cause, pulling Ryan Moore's arms out as he tanked his way into a share of the lead at the halfway stage, and it was no surprise to see Huddleton Mac drop quickly out of contention in the closing stages.

This son of Awtaad looked a real prospect when bolting up at Sandown on his final two-year-old start in August, and an opening handicap mark of just 88 seems generous. If Oisin Murphy can settle him down early on, then I see no reason why Muddleton Mac can't mount a winning challenge.
