ITV Racing Tips - Saturday 18th September

Race 1 - Doonside Cup Tips

I'm finding it hard to look beyond JUAN ELCANO, who bested a classy field to win the Wolferton at Royal Ascot and was only beaten a head in the Group Two York Stakes on his next start. Kevin Ryan's charge was found wanting on his latest effort in the Juddmonte International, but this is a huge drop in class and I doubt 11/8 will last for long.

Race 2 - World Trophy Stakes Tips

The money poured in for KHAADEM as he made his first start over five furlongs. Charlie Hills' five-year-old didn't disappoint, powering clear to win the Listed Scarbrough Stakes by almost two lengths.

With Battaash now retired, there's a gap in Hill's stable for a five-furlong superstar, and there's no reason to suggest Khaadem hasn't got further improvement left in his locker over the minimum distance.

Regular readers will know I don't pay much attention to consolation races. I might have a little dabble on MIDWINSTER, who placed third in a Listed sprint over course-and-distance in June and looks well-treated running off 86, but it will only be a very small bet.

Race 4 - Legacy Cup Stakes Tips

Al Aasy2:50pm Newbury Dubai Duty Free Legacy Cup Stakes (Group 3) 1m3fGET 4/5 HERE

AL AASY really should be winning this year's Legacy Cup quite comfortably. William Haggas' star kicked off his campaign with two impressive Group Three wins, both coming here at Newbury.

He's since been beaten a neck in both in the Coronation Cup and the Princess Of Wales's Stakes, but it took monumental efforts from Pyledriver and Sir Ron Priestley - two top-class horses - to thwart the favourite.

Al Aasy is miles clear on ratings, he'll relish the extra cut in the ground and could even improve again for that recent gelding operation. He could be a lively outsider to back in the 2021 Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe.

Race 5 - Firth Of Clyde Stakes Tips

Ger Lyons enjoyed an excellent Irish Champions Weekend and he sends his Listed winner, Head Mistress over to Ayr for this Group Three. While I wouldn't put anyone off backing Lyons' raider, given the unpredictable nature of juvenile fillies races, I'd rather take a punt on one at a much longer price.

Since winning on debut, CRAZYLAND has placed in the Marygate Fillies' Stakes and finished sixth in the Princess Margaret, having raced too keenly at the front. Last time out in the Dick Poole, Clive Cox's filly was more settled and could easily have won had she not been buffeted around as she tried to make her challenge. Crazyland could give each-way backers a run for their money.

Race 6 - Dubai Duty Free Handicap Tips

The four three-year-olds dominate the betting for this handicap and I'm keen to side with ARAMAIC, who looks a very progressive colt for William Haggas to have some fun with.

Once raced as a juvenile, Aramaic was beaten a neck by one of today's rivals, Mo'assess on his reappearance at Kempton in August. Haggas's budding star then cantered to a maiden victory at Musselburgh, before claiming an impressive win at York on his handicap debut.

The handicapper has upped Aramaic's mark by seven pounds to 94, but he ran up to an RPR of 100 at York and looks to have plenty more improvement to come.

Race 8 - Mill Reef Stakes Tips

Favourite's have a strong record in the Mill Reef, and the bookies clearly think Dhabab is the one to beat. The one who stands out to me, though, is FEARBY and I think Ed Bethell's juvenile is an excellent each-way bet.

Fearby burst onto the scene with a five-length triumph in the Dragon Stakes at Sandown, before staying on for second behind the impressive Armor in the Molecomb Stakes. PJ McDonald's mount then ran a strange race in the Gimcrack.

Having tracked eventual winner Lusail into the race, Fearby seemed to veer violently right as McDonald asked for an effort. He either hung right out of inexperience that day, or PJ was attempting to angle Fearby out to challenge and the gap failed to open.

Despite that interruption, Fearby stayed on strongly in the closing stages to finish fourth. I'm sure he'll come on again for that outing and Bethell's star boasts some handy form on softer ground. 8/1 looks a lovely price.

Race 9 - Virgin Bet Handicap Tips

Dance Fever4:15pm Ayr Virgin Bet Handicap (Class 2) 1mGET 11/2 HERE
New customers only. 18+ T&Cs and wagering requirements apply.

Despite having to carry 9-12, I'm hoping DANCE FEVER will take out our final ITV race of the day. Clive Cox's four-year-old has run valiantly in defeat in three lucrative seven-furlong handicaps at Ascot, Doncaster and Goodwood on his last three starts, clocking RPRs between 103 and 109.

Although he's been kept over seven furlongs this term, Dance Fever stayed a mile well twice during his juvenile campaign and looks ready for this step back up in trip. Compared to the last three races he's entered, this looks like a drop in class for Hector Crouch's mount and Dance Fever can claim a deserved victory.
