ITV Racing Tips - Saturday 27th March

Race 1 - Magnolia Stakes Tips

If back on song, then Global Giant will be hard to beat. However, at the prices, I'd much rather side with FAYLAQ, who ran up to an RPR of 110 when winning a handicap on his only previous all-weather start here at Kempton in 2019.

William Haggas' five-year-old only ran twice last season. Faylaq shaped like he really needed the run first time out at Newmarket. He then finished three lengths adrift of Global Giant in the Steventon Stakes, where he seemed to lose his action for a stride or two at the two pole, before picking up again late on.

I'm glad to see Faylaq out so early this season, and he has the raw ability to challenge the favourite.

Race 2 - Doncaster Mile Stakes Tips

A chance can be given to plenty in this Listed contest. I fancy a punt on JUAN ELCANO, who was only beaten four lengths in the 2000 Guineas on his reappearance last season.

Kevin Ryan then tried to make his talented charge into a stayer, but he didn't look as effective over ten furlongs and Andrea Atzeni's mount really struggled in the Great Voltigeur. A gelding operation will help this head-strong sort to settle, and dropping back to a mile seems a wise move, for a horse with plenty of natural speed.

Race 3 - Roseberry Handicap Tips

Al Zaraqaan2:15pm Kempton Ladbrokes Rosebery Handicap (Class 2) 1m3fGET 6/4 HERE

It would be fitting to see the colours of Sheikh Hamdan Al Maktoum - who passed away earlier this week - carried to victory on Saturday, and I'm struggling to see beyond AL ZARAQAAN in this handicap.

William Haggas' charge won all three of his three-year-old starts, including a course-and-distance win here at Kempton, and a strong handicap win at Lingfield. Al Zaraqaan ran up to an RPR of 101 that day, and still seemed to a little green out in front. With more progression to come, he looks well-treated running off 95.

Race 4 - Spring Mile Tips

Four-year-olds have an outstanding record in the Spring Mile over the last couple of decades, and you can see why Acquitted is so fancied.

I think the favourite is on the right part of the track, with the fast-starting Overwrite likely to make the running from stall 20. However, I'd rather take an each-way punt on ARTISTIC RIFLES, drawn in 21.

During his time with Charlie Hills, Artistic Riffles won twice here over a mile at Doncaster. Having spent a year in Italy, this five-year-old son of War Command joined the Bethell's, making all to beat Dawaaleeb on his stable debut at Redcar. Artistic Riffles ran a good race on his reappearace at Newcastle last month, and Andrea Atzeni will fancy his chance here.

Race 5 - Novices' Handicap Hurdle Tips

The two four-year-olds have a huge advantage at the weights here, and I fancy GOOD BALL might be too strong for his rivals.

Having finished second to another talented juvenile in Teahupoo over 18-furlongs in France, Good Ball made a winning debut for Paul Nicholls' here at Newbury, beating a host of future winners.

Harry Cobden's mount was beaten last time out by Gowel Road, where a slightly sloppy jump at the last opened the door for a speedier rival. I'm confident Good Ball will enjoy this step up in trip, and he'll take all the beating around a course he clearly likes.

Race 6 - Lincoln Handicap Tips

Eastern World remains the strong favourite for this year's Lincoln. Haqeeqy will be ridden by top apprentice Benoit De La Sayette, while Brentford Hope and King Ottokar bring plenty of class to the table.

Race 7 - Novices' Mares' Hurdle Tips

Olly Murphy's stable have finally hit form, recording eight winners so far this week, and an each-way chance has to be given to ALPHA CARINAE in this Grade Two.

Murphy's six-year-old has form behind talented sorts like Aggy With It and The Glancing Queen this season. She also stayed on to place third in the Listed Mares' Hurdle over three miles at Doncaster last time out. Aidan Coleman's mount will love the ground, and her extra staying ability will come in handy, in what'll likely be a strongly run race.

Race 8 - Cammidge Trophy Stakes Tips

I really fancy SUMMERGHAND will run well in Saturday's curtain closer. David O'Meara's seven-year-old comes into this race on the back of two excellent runs on the all-weather, losing out narrowly under top-weight on both occasions.

After winning the Stewards' Cup last summer, Summerghand spent the race of last season running in pattern races, placing in Listed and Grade Three company. With race fitness and course-winning form on his side, David Nolan's mount can land a maiden Listed prize at Doncaster this weekend.
