ITV Racing Tips - Saturday 30th January

Race 1 - Lightning Novices' Chase Tips

Cheddleton looks a smart novice for Jennie Candlish to have some fun with during the spring. Eldorado Allen cannot be ignored either, but it would be the shock of the season if SHISHKIN was to get beat here.

Nicky Henderson's star will carry his unbeaten record into the Arkle, if he gets around Doncaster without mishap.

Race 2 - Yorkshire Rose Mares' Hurdle Tips

Miranda may be the joint-highest rated mare in the field, and she may be getting weight from the two around her in the betting, but the two most talented runners in this race are both trained by Nicky Henderson, and I'd be surprised if one of the two didn't win.

Floressa was an impressive winner of the Gerry Feilden at Newbury, and ran OK when beaten 15 lengths in the Christmas Hurdle. Henderson must think his mare will stay further than two miles, as she's entered in the Mares' Hurdle at Cheltenham, and that extra staying power will come in handy on the long run to the line here at Doncaster.

At the odds, though, I'd rather side with MARIE'S ROCK, who went off as favourite for the Gerry Feilden in November. Henderson's filly ran very fresh that day, jumping out to her left a few times. Nico De Boinville was just starting to get to work when Marie's Rock was badly hampered at the second-last, and her race was practically over.

Henderson's six-year-old looked a future star when hacking up on her two outings last season. I'm sure she'll have come on for her reappearance and Marie's Rock should appreciate the extra cut in the ground.

Race 3 - Betway Handicap Tips

POWER OVER ME completed a hat-trick in superb fashion here six days ago, powering clear in the closing stages to win by over two lengths. Robyn Brisland's four-year-old ran up to an RPR of 89 that day, so I can't see him getting beaten off an official mark of 75.

Race 4 - River Don Novices' Hurdle Tips

This doesn't look like the classiest renewal of the River Don, but it's certainly very competitive. Flash Collonges leads the way in the betting, despite the fact he doesn't even hold an entry in the Albert Bartlett at Cheltenham.

Bobhopeornohope is very keen and novicy, but picked up when joined on both his starts so far and should get this trip. Exploiteur has plenty of experience over this trip, and will love any extra juice in the ground.

While both hold appeal, I'm going to stick with PAT'S FANCY, who I tipped up at 33/1 when he finished second in the Bristol Novices' Hurdle at Cheltenham.

Adam Wedge was forced to take a wide passage that day, which is never ideal at Cheltenham. The winner, Make Good wasn't for catching on the day, but Pats Fancy stayed on gamely to finish ahead of Ask A Honey Bee and Ashtown Lad.

Rebecca Curtis' six-year-old jumped well when winning at Ffos Las, and runner-up Gladiateur Allen has boosted the form of that maiden with a strong victory of his own. Three miles on a flat track should be ideal for Pats Fancy, and he holds plenty of each-way appeal.

Race 5 - Betway Handicap Tips

Pirate King2:55pm Lingfield Betway Handicap (Class 3) 1m4fGET EVENS HERE
New customers only. 18+ T&Cs and wagering requirements apply.

PIRATE KING will have to carry a welter burden of 10-4 in this handicap, but he still looks head and shoulders above the competition.

Charlie Fellowes' charge won three times here at Lingfield last season, and has been beaten a length in two better races than this so far. If Pirate King is a potential winner of the Middle Distance Championships, he'll need to win this with plenty in hand.

Race 6 - Sky Bet Handicap Chase Tips

Cap Du Nord and Canelo will renew their rivalry in Saturday's big betting race at Doncaster. One For The Team will take on more experienced chasers, while Aye Right and Musical Slave are not without supporters.

Race 7 - Bombardier Beer Handicap Tips

GOLDEN FORCE ran out an impressive winner when last seen at Wolverhampton. Charlie Fellowes' five-year-old carried top-weight that day, but stayed on strongly to win by half-a-length, with rival Masked Identity some three-lengths adrift in seventh.

Despite running up to an RPR of 90, Golden Force has only been put up two pounds, and Stevie Donohoe will carry seven-pounds less into battle.
