Newbury stages a valuable card on Saturday, featuring two Grade Two chases and the Betfair Hurdle handicap. After Warwick's card was called off, ITV could pick up a couple of races from Naas afternoon, so we've picked out two runners to back in the feature races in Ireland on Saturday.

Here are my best ITV Racing tips at Newbury, and some extra tips at Naas.

ITV Racing Tips Tips - Saturday 10th February

1:30pm Newbury - Handicap Hurdle Tips

Heavy ground form will be vital on Saturday and one who boasts plenty of that in our opener is IKARAK (7/1). A winner on heavy ground over fences as a four-year-old in France, Anthony Charlton's recruit dealt with similar conditions easily when carrying a penalty to victory in a novice hurdle at Newcastle in December.

Ikarak finished sixth in a deep Class 2 on his handicap debut at Cheltenham on New Year's Day, where a couple of late mistakes stopped Bradley Harris' mount from challenging. The form of that race looks very strong and Ikarak has been dropped a pound for his efforts.

2:05pm Newbury - Denman Chase Tips

Shishkin's preparation for what could be his only chance of challenging in a Gold Cup couldn't have gone any worse. Nicky Henderson's ten-year-old refused to race on his reappearance at Ascot, before a late unseat thwarted his bid for the King George. Henderson will have been praying for nothing to go wrong in the build-up to Shishkin's Cheltenham prep run. Sadly, the ground has turned heavy and an alarming drift in the market throws Shishkin's participation into severe doubt.

Protektorat looks to be the most likely winner. In truth, I have no interest in betting in this contest, as Dan Skelton's star will likely be too short in the market and none of the other contenders hold any appeal at all.

2:40pm Newbury - Game Spirit Chase Tips

Having failed to take to two-and-a-half miles at Kempton, EDWARDSTONE (13/8) drops back down to the minimum distance on Saturday. Alan King's former Tingle Creek winner has placed second to Jonbon twice so far this season and his previous runs on similar ground offer further encouragement.

I'm not sure that Boothill is up to this sort of level. Editeur Du Gite is much more comfortable on better ground. Amarillo Sky would appeal if this wasn't his first start in 378 days and defending two-time champion, Funambule Sivola has been struggling in handicaps this season. If back on song, Edwardstone should win this fairly comfortably.

Bonus Tips for Naas

1:20pm Naas - Rated Hurdle Tips

Band Of Outlaws, Aramax and Brazil won this contest before going on to score in the Boodles Handicap Hurdle at Cheltenham. Jazzy Matty finished a close fourth at Naas and still went on to land that juvenile handicap at the Festival, so whoever wins this race will likely rocket to the head of the Boodles market.

Lark In The Morning leads Pacini in the market, but at the prices, I'm keen to side with EAGLE FANG (11/2). The most experienced hurdler in the field, William Durkhan's juvenile finished a close second behind well-regarded sorts on his first two outings over hurdles, before staying on to place third behind Nurburgring and Kala Conti in the Grade Three at Fairyhouse in December.

Eagle Fang might have finished tenth of 12 in the Grade Two at Leopardstown over Christmas, but Philip Enright's mount was only beaten 11 lengths. The bookies have underestimated his form.

1:55pm Naas - Irish EBF Auction Novice Hurdle Tips

Three novices with Cheltenham Festival entries will clash in this maiden. Answer To Kayf ran well in the Grade Two at Limerick over Christmas, where jockey John Shinnick couldn't utilise his seven-pound claim. Terence O'Brien's eight-year-old has to be respected here, but the most obvious winner has to be CAPTAIN CODY (EVS), whom Paul Townend has opted to ride over Blizzard Of Oz.

Captain Cody thrashed Blizzard Of Oz when they met in a bumper last January, before going on to run well to finish sixth in the Champion Bumper at Cheltenham. Mullins' six-year-old recorded an easy ten-length victory over another of today's runners, Backtonormal when scoring on his belated hurdling debut at Gowran Park two weeks ago. Captain Cody relished heavy ground that day, so I can't see the conditions playing a deciding factor on Saturday.
