ITV Racing Tips - Sunday 7th February

Race 1 - Mares Handicap Hurdle Tips

I'm going to take a huge gamble in the opener on Sunday, and back HEAVEN HELP US at a crazy price. Paul Hennessy's mare has been running over fences this season, winning once and was last seen in a Grade One at Leopardstown over Christmas.

During her novice hurdles campaign, Heaven Help Us finished second to Abacadabras in a Grade One, and crossed the line seventh of 15 in the Supreme Novices' Hurdle. She was rated 136 that day, so to see her make her handicap debut off an official mark of just 126 - plus Richard Condon's seven-pound claimer - is a chance I don't want to pass up.

Race 2 - Spring Juvenile Hurdle Tips

Gordon Elliott looks to have a very strong squad of juveniles this term. Zanahiyr heads the Triumph Hurdle betting, and I think QUILIXIOS will be very hard to beat here.

Elliott's recruit has been flawless so far during his short career, winning three times with a combined margin of 45 lengths. A big, powerful juvenile, who will make a high-quality chaser in the coming years. He could be the best of Elliott's four-year-olds.

Race 3 - Scottish Triumph Hurdle Tips

The best piece of form on offer here is HISTORIC HEART'S runner-up finished behind Adagio at Cheltenham. The winner has since scored in the Grade One at Chepstow over Christmas, and is fancied by some for the Triumph Hurdle at the Festival.

Historic Heart has been highly-tried over hurdles this season, winning two of his six starts, while also finishing fifth in a Grade Two. That experience could be vital, as he drops back down in class.

Race 4 - Chanelle Pharma Novice Hurdle Tips

15 novices have been entered against Appreciate It here. Although the current Supreme Novices' Hurdle favourite looks the most likely winner, I don't fancy backing him a 8/11. I'd rather back MASTER MCSHEE at an each-way price.

After losing out to Appreciate It by two lengths on debut, Paddy Corkery's star has won twice, including in handicap company at the Leopardstown Christmas Festival. With course, distance and ground form in the book, and scope for further improvement, he makes an appealing case for selection.

Race 5 - Scottish Stayers' Novices' Hurdle tips

It's hard to knock anything THREEUNDERTHRUFIVE has done thus far. Paul Nicholls' charge beat 127-rated The Brass man with ease on his hurdles debut, and then produced a similarly impressive display to lower Valleres' colours at Ludlow.

This will be his first start over three miles and he has to give Fantastikas eight pounds. Yet, Threeunderthrufive is certainly the most talented runner in this field. The McNeill's have a potential Albert Bartlett contender on their hands.

Race 6 - William Fry Handicap Hurdle Tips

Downtown Getaway E/W2:40pm Leopardstown William Fry Handicap Hurdle (Grade B) 3mGET 11/1 HERE

Damalisque looked a Graded horse running in handicap company when winning at Navan last week, and he'll be competitive again, despite that 12-pound penalty.

I just worry that this extended three mile trip may be a little too testing, so I'm going to take a risky punt on DOWNTOWN GETAWAY, who's recently moved from Nicky Henderson's yard to Willie Mullins.

Downtown Getaway finished seventh behind Champ in the Sefton back in 2019. He only managed to win one of his starts last season, but there's clearly much more to come from this talented eight-year-old, and Mullins could be the man to help Downtown Getaway to reach the peak of his abilities.

Race 7 - Pertemps Qualifier Tips

beat Kiltealy Briggs in a point-to-point, and also defeated on for the market leaders for this year's Pertemps Final, Imperial Alcazar over hurdles at Newcastle last season.

Keith Dalgleish's seven-year-old hasn't been seen for 400 days, but he's clearly got plenty of ability and 128 looks a highly-workable mark.

Race 8 - Flogas Novice Chase Tips

I'm a huge fan of Monkfish. I backed him to win the Festival Novices' Chase at the start of the season and, despite this slight drop in trip, I think he'll be hard to beat on Saturday.

That being said, there's no in backing him at 8/11. If LATEST EXHIBITION is going to beat Monkfish, it'll likely be today, and not at the Cheltenham Festival.

There was very little separating the two in both the Albert Bartlett and the Neville Hotels over Christmas. I think this distance may suit Latest Exhibition a little better and Bryan Cooper's mount won the Nathaniel Lacy at this meeting 12 months ago. Latest Exhibition is the value bet here.

Race 9 - Scottish Supreme Novices' Hurdle Tips

Third Time Lucki deservedly heads the betting, having won three of his four starts over hurdles. However, at the odds, I'd rather side with BAREBACK JACK, who also holds an entry in the Supreme Novices' Hurdle.

Donald McCain's charge jumped poorly on debut, but still had enough about him to beat a future winner in Long Stay. Under a penalty, Bareback Jack put his rivals to the sword at Catterick, where his jumping has markedly improved.

A course-and-distance winner with a progressive profile, Bareback Jack could give the favourite a real head-ache on Sunday.
