ITV Racing fans have a feast of action to delve into on Saturday, with good quality handicaps coming to us live from across Newbury, Kelso and Bangor.

I'm away from Friday until Tuesday, so I won't be publishing the RacingInsider Daily Tips as usual. Instead, I've picked out four horses to back in Saturday's ITV races and they'll be counting towards the profit and loss for March.

Here are my best betting tips for Saturday's ITV races.

ITV Racing Tips - Saturday 22nd March

1:15pm Kelso - Best Odds Guaranteed On Racing' Handicap Chase Tips

If the first-time visor works with YOUR OWN STORY (5/1), he has to be in with a big shout off a mark of 125.

Lucinda Russell's nine-year-old always saves his best for the spring. Your Own Story won on his first start in March in 2022 and '23 and returned from a 318-day absence with three excellent efforts last spring, including a narrow defeat in the four-mile handicap at the Punchestown Festival.

Derek Fox's mount finished second over four miles here at Kelso in December, before going on to register top six finishes in both the Welsh Grand National and the Eider Chase at Newcastle. This 3m2f trip might be a little short for this dour stayer, but Your Own Story likes good ground and his mark has dropped by five pounds since the start of the season.

2:40pm Newbury - Handicap Chase Tips

I'm hoping that a 102-day break, wind surgery and the return of Harry Bannister to the saddle will spark a return to form for THEATRE MAN (7/1), who hasn't been the same since that early fall in the 2024 Plate Handicap Chase, where he went off as the 10/3 favourite.

Richard Bandey's charge ran crackers to place on his first two starts over fences at Newbury last season, before bumping into Ginny's Destiny on Cheltenham Trials Day. Theatre Man was one of the best-backed handicappers at the Festival that year, but Bandey's dreams went up in smoke when Harry Cobden's mount crashed out at the opening flight.

Theatre Man was then tailed off on his final start of the season over hurdles. This term, Bandey's nine-year-old finished a well-beaten fourth in two novice chases, but didn't run badly when you consider he was in with big-race winners like Hyland, Transmission, Moon D'Orange and Jagwar.

Bannister was in the saddle for all of Theatre Man's best performances as a novice and he takes the ride for the first time this season on Saturday. Bandey's nine-year-old has been dropped five pounds to a mark of 132 and boasts some strong form around the chasing track at Newbury.

3:00pm Kelso - Queen Series Final Mares' Novices' Handicap Hurdle Tips

My other selection at Kelso comes in this two-mile handicap hurdle, where NORTHERN AIR (6/1) looks to hold strong claims. Fergal O'Brien's mare won an Irish point-to-point in 2023 and was only narrowly beaten by future Gerry Feilden winner, Navajo Indy on her hurdling debut at Wincanton last April.

Northern Air underwent a second wind-op following her first two starts this season, and went on to score comfortably on her most recent outing at Taunton in January. Liam Harrison's mount ran freely and still looked green when she hit the front, but found enough for pressure to see off Future Fortune and two mares who've won decent quality maidens since.

O'Brien has freshened his six-year-old up after that victory, presumably with this race in mind. Northern Air could be well-handicapped off this opening mark of 110.
