Newmarket's July Festival continues on Friday, where the Group One Falmouth Stakes headlines the action. Along with four races from Newmarket, York will be chipping in with two strong races on Friday afternoon.

Here are my best betting tips for Friday's ITV races.

ITV Racing Tips - Friday 12th July

1:50pm Newmarket - bet365 Handicap Tips

The superpowers that are Godolphin, Ballydoyle and Sheikh Ahmed Al Maktoum all have runners sitting prominently in the market for this excellent handicap. I fancy an each-way punt on MR MONACO (16/1), who should appreciate softer ground and a further step up in trip.

Ralph Beckett's colt has run well in two similar races this season, finishing a close fourth at Goodwood and second to the prolific Prince Eric last month at Sandown. Mr Monaco isn't a quick horse, so this test of stamina should suit and Edward Greatrex has been riding out of his skin in recent weeks. He still looks well-handicapped.

2:05pm York - Daily Handicap Tips

I'm searching for value again in the opening ITV race at York, where I could see MAYWAKE (16/1) running well at a tasty price. I flagged Richard Fahey's six-year-old up ahead of the Buckingham Palace Stakes at Royal Ascot and Oisin Orr's mount ran fairly well to finish tenth, considering he went off at 100/1.

Maywake has secured all of his turf victories on juicy ground, so conditions on Friday should suit him better than the fast ground he encountered at Ascot. He's certainly capable of challenging off this reduced mark of 91.

2:25pm Newmarket - Duchess Of Cambridge Stakes Tips

Aidan O'Brien has only had one runner in this Group Two since claiming back-to-back victories in 2016 and '17. He'll be represented on Friday by HEAVEN'S GATE (4/1), who finished a very good third behind stablemate Fairy Godmother in the Albany at Royal Ascot.

Wayne Lordan had to get a good start from stall 17, and was forced into making the running. Although she was passed by the winner and Simmering late on, Heaven's Gate kept going right through the line, finishing a good distance ahead of Mountain Breeze, who couldn't sustain her challenge.

I was expecting Heaven's Gate to step up to seven furlongs following that performance, but a stiff six furlongs on rain-softened ground should be ideal. I'd be surprised if 4/1 was still available come the start of Friday's contest.

2:40pm York - Summer Stakes Tips

I'm struggling to separate the leading contenders in this excellent Group Three, so I'm going to have a small each-way punt on the returning PRIME ART (14/1), who'll be having her first start for Jane Chapple-Hyam.

Prime Art ran four times in the space of two months for Johnny Murtagh last season, winning a maiden on her third outing at Naas, before running out a ready winner of the Firth Of Clyde Stakes at Ayr. Kevin Stott's mount comfortably beat Great Generation, Pretty Crystal and Raqiya - who all reoppose on Friday - that day and I wouldn't be surprised to see her go well, despite the possibility that she'll need this reappearance run.

3:00pm Newmarket - bet365 Trophy Tips

This drop in trip is interesting for VINO VICTRIX (12/1), who hasn't run over a distance shorter than two miles since the start of 2022. Hughie Morrison's six-year-old has run very well on his two starts at Goodwood this term, finishing a close fourth behind Royal Ascot scorer Pledgeofallegiance, before a runner-up finish to one of today's rivals, Tenerife Sunshine.

Vino Victrix always improves for his first couple of efforts after a break and he won't mind the extra juice in the ground at Newmarket. Morrison's six-year-old is often ridden cold, but over this shorter trip around a course that favours prominent runners, I'm hoping to see David Egan give Vino Victrix a positive ride.
