Given how superior her form is compared to the opposition, 7/4 about LEZOO is a generous price. Frankie Dettori's mount ran out an impressive winner of the Listed Empress Fillies' Stakes, and may have gotten the better of Mawj in the Duchess Of Cambridge last time out, had the winner not repeatedly drifted across her path.

There are some dangerous contenders in the field against her, most notably Palm Lily, who looked good when winning on debut. Lezoo still seems head-and-shoulders above the competition, though, and I'd be surprised if the favourite was turned over.

Race 2 - "Jump Jockey's Nunthorpe" Tips

Although this race always provides fascinating viewing, I won't be having much of a bet. Paul Midgley, who won two of the four renewals of this unique race, runs four, including eight-year-old NIBRAS AGAIN, a course-and-distance winner who's dropped down to an appealing mark of 65. I'll have a small punt on Craig Nichol's mount at a huge price.

Race 3 - Valiant Stakes Tips

With Novemba, Oscula and Snooze N You Lose in the field, a red-hot early pace is expected in this Group Three. I'm confident that will suit KIND GESTURE, who bolted up at Windsor last time out.

Roger Varian's three-year-old was backed into 2/5 before the off and went straight to the front. David Egan's mount put ten lengths between herself and the field between the two and three pole. Once he knew the race was over, Egan allowed Kind Gesture to canter home in the closing stages.

Despite being heavily eased down a long way from home, the time Varian's filly set that day was slightly quicker than standard. If this daughter of Decorated Knight can latch onto the front-runners from stall two, then Kind Gesture has a turn-of-foot that could see her challenge for the victory.

Race 4 - Dash Handicap Tips

It often pays to be up with the pace early in sprint handicaps at York. The only confirmed front-runners have been drawn high in stalls 14 and 15, so a low draw could prove to be a huge disadvantage.

One of those who's likely to go forward early is Tim Easterby's eight-year-old, HYPERFOCUS. David Allan's mount ended a ten-race losing streak with an emphatic victory over some decent rivals at Haydock three weeks ago. A five-pound rise doesn't seem harsh following that two length success and Hyperfocus could be hard to peg back under 8-12.

Race 5 - International Stakes Tips

Only two of the last ten winners of this handicap came from a single figure stall. 72% of the top five placers in the last decade were drawn in stall 10 or higher, so a low draw is often a negative.

That being said, one of the best value bets has to be ROPEY GUEST, who comes into this on the back of runner-up efforts in the Buckingham Palace Stakes and the Bunbury Cup last time out.

George Margarson's five-year-old has only had his mark upped a pound for those efforts and Callum Hutchinson's claimer reduces his burden to just 8-3. I'm hoping stall seven won't stop Ropey Guest from contending again.

Lion Tower E/W3:00pm Ascot Moet & Chandon International Stakes (Heritage Handicap) (Class 2) 7fGET 40/1 HERE

Another five-year-old who's been in fine form this season is LION TOWER, who ground out a narrow victory in the JCB Handicap at York on his penultimate start. Grand Tuer's charge travelled into the Coral Challenge nicely last time out, until he began to hang towards the inside rail, which meant the door he was trying to muscle through closed ahead of him and Lion Tower faded fairly rapidly after that.

Returning to seven furlongs is a big plus for Sam James' mount, who's drawn nicely up in stall 18. Lion Tower could still be well-treated off his official mark of 93.

He may have to give keen-going three-year-old, Claymore plenty of weight, but I still think DUBAI HONOUR will be hard to beat in this Group Two.

Having returned to action with a cracking fourth from a horrible low draw in the Britannia, William Haggas' star won the bet365 Handicap at Newmarket, before following up in a Group Two out in Deauville. Dubai Honour then secured his second Group Two on French soil in the Prix Dollar, before finishing a very close second to Sealiway in the Champion Stakes at Ascot.

In December, Tom Marquand's mount was beaten just over a length when fourth in the Hong Kong Cup behind Breeders' Cup winner Loves Only You. Things didn't got to plan in the Dubai Turf, but Dubai Honour should still be able to make his class count as he drops back to Group Two company on Saturday.
