Paisley Park and Thyme Hill met for the first time at Newbury in the Long Distance Hurdle last month. Thyme Hill was well-backed on the day, and narrowly came out on top, with Paisley Park running a fine race back in second.

Emma Lavelle's former Stayers' Hurdle winner looked to be needing the run that day, and was giving his younger rival three-pounds at the weights. On Saturday, Paisley Park and Thyme Hill reoppose of level weights, and the bookmakers are finding it hard to split them.

2020 Long Walk Hurdle Runners

Dual-Pertemps Final winner, Sire Du Berlais advertised his intentions for the season with a solid Grade Two win on his reappearance. Like the top two in the betting here, Gordon Elliott's star also sits prominently in the Stayers Hurdle betting. It is, however, more likely he will be saved for the Grade One at Leopardstown over Christmas, for which he's also entered up.

Main Fact extended his incredible winning streak to nine races at Haydock last month, winning the Grade Three Betfair Exchange Hurdle, and he could make his first appearance in a Grade One on Saturday.

Dan Skelton's mare, Roksana looked as good as ever when winning the West Yorkshire Hurdle on her return to action, she's the only other runner who can be found sitting on a single-figure price.

Last year's winner, The Worlds End hasn't been seen since pulling up at Auteuil back in October, but could make his first start for Olly Murphy on Saturday. Lil Rockerfeller will enter the Long Walk Hurdle for the third time this weekend, having finished sixth and second to Unowhatimeanharry on his two previous appearances.

Younevercall also has previous in this race, having finished eighth behind Paisley Park in 2018. Colin Tizzard has also handed Thistlecrack an entry, but he hasn't been seen for over a year.

Other notable entrants include The Jam Man for Ronan McNally, and Ben Pauling's Kildiart, who was last seen finishing seventh in the Ladbrokes Trophy.

Olly Murphy could give Thomas Darby his first start over three miles at Ascot. Third Wind and Portrush Ted round off the classy list of entries.
