The first Sunday Series fixture of the season takes place this weekend, with ITV Racing showing all seven races on a valuable card at Musselburgh.

Here are our best betting tips for Musselburgh on Sunday.

Sunday Series Tips - Musselburgh Tips on April 13th

4:45pm Musselburgh - Acca Freeze Handicap Tips

An interesting contender in this Sunday Series sprint is GLORY HYDE (14/1), who shaped well for a long way on her reappearance at Doncaster two weeks ago.

Roger Fell's filly managed to win twice last season, before rounding off her three-year-old campaign with a series of placed efforts. Glory Hyde placed twice more at Beverley over the summer, having won in late July, and kept on well to finish second to the well-backed favourite over this course-and-distance in October.

Callum Rodriguez's mount broke well at Doncaster and was still in contention passing the furlong market, only to drop back to seventh in the closing stages. Glory Hyde should strip fitter with that run under her belt and a good start should allow her to track over towards the favoured stand's rail.

5:45pm Musselburgh - Build A Bet Handicap Tips

Marhaba Ghaiyyath wasn't particularly convincing when justifying an incredibly short price on the all-weather recently, so I'm going to take the favourite on with SPRINGBOK (9/1).

Richard Fahey stepped his youngster up in trip with each of his juvenile starts. Springbok finished eight lengths adrift of some decent horses on his first three novice starts, but was much more competitive on his final juvenile outing at Beverley, where he tried to make all but faded back to fourth late on.

Oisin Orr's mount is out of a South African mare who placed in the SA Classic and Too Darn Hot's progeny seem to improve when stepped up in trip. He's a lively challenger to the hot-favourite.

6:15pm Musselburgh - Support ROR Handicap Tips

I'm expecting a big performance from STOCKPYLE (9/2), after he went close on his return to turf racing at Doncaster. Sam England's six-year-old was weak in the market in the build-up to that Class 4 handicap, but sprinted home from the pack late on to finish just half-a-length behind the winner, Alzahir.

PJ McDonald's mount started last season in good form, winning on the all-weather at Kempton on his third outing, before following up at Chepstow off a mark of 75. Stockpyle's form tailed off during the second half of the year, as it did in 2022 and '23, but England's charge took a big step forward between his first and second runs this term and he remains on his last winning mark.

6:45pm Musselburgh - For The Fans Handicap Tips

Sunday's ITV action ends with an excellent seven-furlong handicap, where NEW IMAGE (3/1) holds leading claims. David O'Meara's five-year-old won first time out on the all-weather last year, and further victories at Southwell and here at Musselburgh saw him enter the big Festival handicaps.

New Image finished a close third behind Tolstoy at York in June, before a neck-defeat to Northern Express in the International Handicap at Ascot. Hayley Turner then guided New Image to victory in the Shergar Cup Mile, after which O'Meara's five-year-old was pushed up to a mark of 96.

Despite being fancied, New Image ran a little flat on his final two starts of the season, but may well have been over the top by that point. O'Meara has had a couple of winners recently and New Image remains open to further progress during his five-year-old campaign.
