2021 Cheltenham Festival News - Handicap Hurdle Entries
2021 Boodles Juvenile Handicap Hurdle Odds
*Odds taken from William Hill on 24/2/21*
Zanahiyr, Quilixios, Nassalam and Saint Sam all sit prominently in the Triumph Hurdle betting, but all four have been handed a handicap option in the Boodles Juvenile Handicap Hurdle at the Cheltenham Festival.
Joseph O'Brien could be represented by Busselton, while Riviere D'etel could come here instead of an outing in the Triumph or the Mares' Novices' Hurdle.
Other notable Boodles entrants include Youmdor, Houx Gris, Teahupoo and Druid's Altar. Sage Advice, Hell Red and Balko Saint could also run.
2021 Coral Cup Odds
|Guard Your Dreams||14/1|
*Odds taken from Paddy Power on 24/2/21*
Grand Roi won a Grade Two in Ireland earlier this season, and Gordon Elliott's five-year-old tops the market for the Coral Cup. Nicky Henderson has a strong record in this handicap, and he has both Allart, Buzz and Craigneiche sitting prominently in the market.
Novice hurdlers Bear Ghylls, Eskylane and Ganapathi have been handed a Coral Cup entry. Willie Mullins has Bachasson, Great White Shark and Koshari entered up.
Darasso, Ciel De Neige, Alfa Mix and Barnaviddaun could all run in this handicap on day two of the Cheltenham Festival.
2021 Pertemps Final Odds
|The Bosses Oscar||7/1|
|Come On Teddy||16/1|
*Odds taken from Betfair on 24/2/21*
Having booked their places in the final earlier in the season, Imperial Alcazar and The Bosses Oscar sit at the top of the Pertemps Final betting. Champagne Platinum finished second in a late qualifier at Haydock last weekend, and he too sits at a single-figure price.
Brinkley and Come On Teddy look likely to get a run at the Festival, as does the winner of the Leopardstown qualifier, Dandy Mag.
Phil Kirby has handed a Pertemps entry to fairytale horse Bushy Park, while both Southfield Harvest and Storm Arising could represent Paul Nicholls.
2021 County Hurdle Odds
|Third Time Lucki||14/1|
*Odds taken from Unibet on 24/2/21*
Having won the County Hurdle with a novice 12 months ago, Willie Mullins could send Blue Lord down that same route, having handed his youngster an entry. Mullins has also entered Saldier, who would carry top-weight into the opening handicap on Gold Cup day.
Betfair Hurdle winner, Soaring Glory has been entered, along with Greatwood Hurdle scorer, The Shunter. Drop The Anchor, Fifty Ball, Tegerek and Thedevilscoachman are also possible runners.
Dan Skelton has won the County Hurdle three times in recent years. He currently has four hurdlers in the mix, with Third Time Lucki and Proschema looking his main hopes.
2021 Martin Pipe Handicap Hurdle Odds
*Odds taken from Paddy Power on 24/2/21*
Gordon Elliott loves to target the Martin Pipe with some of his better hurdlers, so it's no surprise to see his horse, Wide Receiver heading the betting. Elliott could also be represented by Farouk D'alene, Eskylane, Folcano and Column Of Fire.
Henry De Bromhead has handed consistent performer, Champagne Gold a Martin Pipe entry. Boreham Bill and Craigneiche sit prominently in the current market.
Ganapathi and Dysart Diamond could represent Willie Mullins. Does He Know, Monte Cristo, Enemy Coast Ahead and Gabynako are also possible runners in the final race at the Cheltenham Festival.
