Cheltenham Day 4 Entries - Galopin Des Champs heads field of 13 for Gold Cup

On Wednesday morning, the final fields were confirmed for all seven races on Gold Cup day at the Cheltenham Festival. Here are Friday's headline entries.

Hot-favourite Galopin Des Champs will face 12 rivals in this year's Gold Cup. Henry De Bromhead will be represented by the last two Gold Cup winners, A Plus Tard and Minella Indo. Willie Mullins' second-string Stattler and Gordon Elliott's Conflated take up their entries, along with Hewick and Grand National hero, Noble Yeats.
Bravemansgame leads the home challenge in this year's feature at the Cheltenham Festival. Fellow Grade One winners Protektorat and Ahoy Senor take their chance, along with Sounds Russian, Royal Pagaille and Eldorado Allen.

A capacity field of 20 novices will contest this Grade One. All of the fancied Irish horses have stood thier ground, with Three Card Brag, Corbetts Cross, Embassy Gardens and Hiddenvalley Lake featuring in the field.
Favori De Champdou, Sandor Clegane, Monty's Star, Letsbeclearaboutit, Dawn Rising and Shanbally Kid will also fly the flag for Ireland. Stay Away Fay, Rock My Way and Weveallbeencaught represent British connections.

Willie Mullins' trio of Bloody Destiny, Lossiemouth and Gala Marceau have dominated the Triumph betting for the entire season and all three were confirmed in the field. In fact, Mullins will saddle almost half of the 15 confirmed runners, after Zenta, Cinsa, Gust Of Wind and Je Garde were also confirmed.
Gary Moore's Jupiter Du Gite and Ben Pauling's recruit Jipcot are the highest-placed home runners in the betting. Rightsotom, Ascending, Hypotenus and Jacovec Cavern will also run in Friday's opener.
