The most prestigious race in National Hunt racing is the Cheltenham Gold Cup, which headlines the card on day four of the Cheltenham Festival. Galopin Des Champs ran out a fantastic winner of this famous race in 2023 and the bookies are expecting Willie Mullins' star to defend his crown next season.

2024 Cheltenham Gold Cup Entries

Galopin Des Champs kicked seven lengths clear of Bravemansgame on the run to the line to claim victory in the 2023 Gold Cup. Mullins' star is already chalked up at 6/4 to retain his crown in 2024, with Bravemansgame sitting second in the ante-post market.

Brown Advisory Novices' Chase runner-up, Gerri Colombe can also be backed at 10/1 with some firms. A former winner of that Grade One, L'Homme Presse sits fourth in the ante-post Gold Cup market, ahead of Turners' Novices' Chase winner Stage Star, and Gerri Colombe's conqueror, The Real Whacker.

Allaho and Shishkin also sit prominently in the Gold Cup betting. Ryanair winner, Envoi Allen and Grand National hero, Noble Yeats can be backed at 33/1. Some firms are even listing Constitution Hill in the ante-post Gold Cup market.
