The third day of the Cheltenham Festival is headlined by the Stayers' Hurdle. Having finished third the previous season, Gordon Elliott's Teahupoo justified short-priced favouritism with an excellent victory in the 2024 renewal of this historic Championship race.

Here's an early look at the betting for the 2025 Stayers' Hurdle...

2025 Stayers' Hurdle Entries

Teahupoo only ran once before claiming Stayers' Hurdle glory this season, and Gordon Elliott could take in the Hatton's Grace Hurdle again before returning to Cheltenham in 2025. Elliott rerouted Irish Point to the Champion Hurdle when Consitution Hill was ruled out and he could step back up in distance in 2025, following a runner-up finish to State Man.

French star, Theleme missed this year's Cheltenham Festival through injury, but could make his British debut in this race next season. Ballyburn also features prominently in the betting, but Willie Mullins is more likely to target the Champion Hurdle or send his top novice over fences in 2024/25.

Flooring Porter has now won two and placed in two Stayers' Hurdle, and Gavin Cromwell will likely target this race again in 2025. Stellar Story picked off The Jukebox Man to win the Albert Bartlett Novices' Hurdle and both could be sent down the Stayers' Hurdle route, if they don't go novice chasing.

This year's third, Home By The Lee and Willie Mullins' former Champion Bumper winner, Facile Vega can both be backed at around 33/1 for next year's Stayers' Hurdle. Other notable names in the betting include Cuthbert Dibble, Readin Tommy Wrong, High Class Hero and Hiddenvalley Lake.
