Week four of our Eye On Cheltenham series features 17 winners from between November 14th and November 20th, 2024.

The November Meeting at Cheltenham hogged most of the racing headlines this past week, along with the inaugural Navan Racing Festival. Here are 17 Cheltenham Festival market movers from the past seven days.

Eye On Cheltenham 2024 - Week 4


Jonbon


Four of Britain's five highest-rated two mile chasers clashed in the Shloer Chase at Cheltenham on Sunday. Odds-on favourite Jonbon ran out a hugely impressive winner under Nico De Boinville and was slashed into 11/4 to win next year's Champion Chase, where he'll renew rivalries with El Fabiolo, who beat Jonbon in last season's Arkle.

Stage Star


A blunder at the final flight wasn't enough to thwart Stage Star in Saturday's Paddy Power Gold Cup, as Harry Cobden's mount recovered well to comfortably beat Notlongtillmay. Paul Nicholls' chaser won the Turners at Cheltenham this season and was cut into 4/1 second-favouritism for the 2024 Ryanair Chase.

Bob Olinger


Former two-time Cheltenham Festival winner, Bob Olinger returned to winning form on Saturday by beating Zanahiyr and Home By The Lee in the Lismullen Hurdle. Bob Olinger was then cut into 25/1 for the 2024 Stayers' Hurdle.

Springwell Bay


Another who impressed at Cheltenham on Saturday was Springwell Bay, who claimed a comfortable victory under top-weight in the Intermediate Handicap Hurdle. Jonjo O'Neill's rising star entered the betting for the 2024 Stayers' Hurdle at an opening price of 33/1.

It's For Me


After disappointing at Cheltenham last season, It's For Me made a winning hurdles debut at Punchestown on Thursday. Willie Mullins' star then shortened into 16/1 for next year's Supreme Novices' Hurdle.

Stellar Story


Another excellent weekend for Gordon Elliott began with Stellar Story's runaway victory in the opening novices' hurdle at Navan on Saturday. Stellar Story was then cut into 20/1 for the Ballymore by Unibet, who also quotes fresh odds of 16/1 for the Albert Bartlett.

Croke Park


Croke Park held off stablemate Mel Monroe to win his first Graded prize in the Monksfield Novice Hurdle at Navan on Sunday. Elliott's novice was cut into 25/1 for both the Ballymore and the Albert Bartlett on the back of that Grade Three victory.

Gidleigh Park


The second leg of a double for Harry Fry at Exeter on Monday saw Gidleigh Park make a winning start over hurdles. The odds-on favourite wasn't foot-perfect, but still cruised to a seven-length victory, earning fresh quotes of 25/1 for the Ballymore Novices' Hurdle.

Shanagh Bob


Another to earn shorter Ballymore quotes on Monday was Shanagh Bob, who returned odds of 2/9 after winning the opening two-and-a-half mile novices hurdle. Nicky Henderson's newcomer was cut into 16/1 with some firms, while also entering the Albert Bartlett betting at 33/1.

Loughglynn


Loughglynn brought up a double for Willie Mullins at Punchestown last Thursday by running away with the 21-furlong maiden hurdle. Paul Townend's mount then entered the Albert Bartlett Novices' Hurdle betting, with bet365 going as short as 25/1.

Minella Missile


There was a big upset in Friday's Hyde Novices' Hurdle, where Evan Williams' Minella Missile took down hot-favourite Captain Teague. Minella Missile was then entered into the Ballymore betting, with Boylesports offering 20/1.

Dysart Enos


Fergal O'Brien finally unleashed Dysart Enos at Huntingdon last Tuesday. O'Brien's Aintree Bumper winner ran out an easy winner on her hurdles debut as the 1/7 favourite and remains the 7/1 second-favourite for the 2024 Mares' Novices' Hurdle.

Burdett Road


Despite jumping poorly at the rear of the field for much of the race, Burdett Road turned on the after-burners at the bottom of the hill to run away with the Prestbury Juvenile Hurdle at Cheltenham on Saturday. James Owen's recruit, who won on the flat at Royal Ascot, is now the the favourite for the 2024 Triumph Hurdle, with bet365 offering a top price of 7/1.

Kala Conti


Gordon Elliott's four-timer at Navan on Sunday was kicked off by Kala Conti, who bolted up in the opening 3YO Hurdle. Kala Conti was immediately cut into 20/1 for the Triumph Hurdle by bookmaker's Boylesports.

Facile Vega


In a thrilling Beginners Chase at Navan on Saturday, Facile Vega took down Inthepocket and Saint Felicien to make a winning start over fences. Willie Mullins' star was clipped into 3/1 from 9/2 in the betting for the 2024 Arkle, which is still headed by Facile Vega's Supreme conquerer, Marine Nationale.

American Mike


All eyes were on Fact To File as he made his chasing debut at Navan, but it was American Mike who claimed victory, thanks to a better jump at the final two flights. American Mike was cut into 14/1 for the Turners' Novices' Chase and 16/1 for the Brown Advisory by Boylesports.

Broadway Boy


Nigel Twiston-Davies saddled a 1-2 in the Listed Novices' Chase at Cheltenham on Saturday, where Broadway Boy ran out an impressive winner over Weveallbeencaught. Broadway Boy was then cut into 20/1 for both the Brown Advisory and the National Hunt Chase.
