The spotlight will shine on Deauville this Sunday, as a classy field assembles ahead of the 2024 Prix Jean Prat. Many of the sport's stars have claimed victory in this Group One and viewers will be treated to another excellent renewal this weekend.

We've taken a look through the market for this year's Prix Jean Prat and picked out our best French racing tips.

2024 Prix Jean Prat Runners

Five of the last seven renewals of this Group One have gone the way of British or Irish horses, so it's no surprise to see raiders dominating the betting. Ryan Moore rides Jersey Stakes runner-up Kikkuli for Harry Charlton, as Charlie Appleby and William Buick team up with Romantic Style.

David Menuisier's German 2000 Guineas winner, Devil's Point drops down to seven furlongs. French 1000 Guineas runner-up, Kathmandu could attempt to make all again from stall seven. The sole Irish raider in the field is Willie McCreery's talented filly, Vespertilio.

Andre Fabre's Group Three winner, Sajir is the highest-placed home runners in the market. Maxime Guyon has drawn stall one aboard Beauvatier. Christophe Soumillon rides Havana Cigar for Jean-Claude Rouget.

Monteille, Zandy and Puchkine will also fly the flag for France. The final raider in the field is Charlie Hills' Iberian, who hasn't been seen since finishing last in the 2000 Guineas at Newmarket.

2024 Prix Jean Prat Tips

While plenty enter Sunday's feature with chances, the most likely winner for me is ROMANTIC STYLE (5/1). Charlie Appleby's filly has had her juvenile form franked continuously this term and there were excuses for her reappearance defeat in the Pouliches.

William Buick's mount showed plenty of speed at two. Romantic Style defeated Adaay In Devon - a two-time Listed winner this term - with ease in the Bosra Sham at Newmarket. On her French debut, Appleby's filly claimed a comfortable win in the Prix Imprudence, beating Ramatuelle and Tamfana, who've both placed twice at the highest level this term.

From her wide draw in the French 1000 Guineas, William Buick was forced into doing some early work to find a decent position. Romantic Style was still pulling hard going into the final bend but was still well-placed to challenge two furlongs from home, before her effort eventually flattened out.

Staying a mile was always going to stretch Romantic Style's stamina, and being so keen during the first half of the race wouldn't have helped her see out the trip. Dropping back to seven furlongs is a sensible move and Romantic Style can stamp her class over the opposition on Sunday.
