Happy Valley Value Bet - Race 4 No. 7 Flying Wrote
He started as a single-figure chance on debut over this track/trip and that followed runner-up finish via a Happy Valley trial on April 19, where the gelding was a little green.
A lack of race experience was evident via his first appearance, as Flying Wrote wanted to lay in at key stages in the home when gaps presented, although he didn't give up.
The Tony Cruz-trained galloper was beaten two lengths into fifth via that May 1 performance, which was more than a pass mark and there's natural improvement to come.
Flying Wrote has tactical speed and a low draw, so he should be able to settle in the first few pairs under Angus Chung and he finds arguably a weaker Class 4 at start two.

Happy Valley Value Bet - Race 5 No. 11 The Khan
This four-year-old old gives the impression that he'll get over more ground in time, however, The Khan will benefit from his first 1650m outing and that was a solid performance.
In what was otherwise an on-speed dominated race, the son of Acclamation came from midfield to finish fifth-of-twelve and he was easily the best of the closers in that race.
He had been building well over shorter trips via his first four Hong Kong starts, which included a 1400m Sha Tin attempt two starts back and he should've finished closer there.
The Khan isn't far off a breakthrough and with even luck in transit this evening off what is predicted to be a good tempo, he should be thereabouts at an each-way quote.

Happy Valley Best Bet - Race 6 No. 1 Telecom Speed
The Me Tsui-trained galloper was a dominant winner on January 31 in a similar race to what he contests this evening and the gelding has held form since that victory.
Telecom Speed hasn't had much luck via his last three outings, with the first of those being a one-length third on April 10 and he was three-wide throughout that affair.
He then did a power of work two starts back, where he had to overcome a wide barrier to eventually settle outside of the leader and the first two home had a saloon passage.
The six-year-old was once again working on the speed last time out, yet he was only grabbed in the last stride and tonight, he carries 1.5kg less and jumps from barrier two.
Renfrew Handicap Betting Odds Tips (Race 7)
Happy Valley Next Best Bet - Race 7 No. 1 Beauty Waves
He continues to improve with racing and coming back in distance has helped via his last two outings, with Beauty Waves recording back-to-back victories over this track/trip.
His sole European triumph was also over five-furlongs, so keeping him to the short course dashes appears to be the key and the gelding is also being produced on the fresh side.
Beauty Waves is a month between runs and has also won a tick-over trial, which is the same pattern he's followed via his last two appearances and Zac Purton stays aboard.
Over 1000m, the weight penalty is less of a factor and along with bringing the best last start figure in the field, Beauty Waves has a fitness edge on his main threat (Fast Serve).
Selkirk Handicap Betting Odds Tips (Race 8)
Happy Valley Roughie - Race 8 No. 2 Giddy Up
The pacifiers go on Giddy Up tonight after a disappointing last start performance, with the four-year-old failing to settle in that May 8 attempt and he tired late as a result.
His prior form had been fine, having recorded a 1400m Sha Tin victory in this grade three starts back and he was unlucky following that, as he was held-up at stages on March 10.
The son of Fiorente was then completely unsuited via his first attempt over the Happy Valley 1650m, where he was back and wide in a muddling affair, yet he still grabbed third.
With two runs completed following a decent freshen-up, Giddy Up will only strip fitter and along with recevining a key gear change, a faster tempo should also suit here.
