The locals dominate the early Hong Kong Sprint betting for 2022, with Lucky Sweynesse ($3) currently favourite with bet365.
This four-year-old has quickly worked through the grades, with a Class 4 victory in February and after a Class 1 triumph in September, he's finished top two in his first two tries at stakes level and that includes a last start win in the Jockey Club Sprint, a traditional lead-up to this Group One.
Sitting just behind him is Wellington ($3.75), a three-time Group One winner in Hong Kong, with two of those major victories having come this year via the Queen's Silver Jubilee Cup, followed by a win in The Chairman's Sprint Prize in April.
Rounding out the single figure chances is Lucky Patch ($9), who was a heavily supported favourite in last year's Hong Kong Sprint, but unfortunately, he was one of four runners to fall in that edition.
Japanese seven-year-old Gendarme is a last start Group One winner, having taken out The Sprinters Stakes in October at Nakayama.
He shares a $10 quote with Meikei Yell, who failed in that Sprinters Stakes, although did arrive there off back-to-back Group Two wins.
