Silvermine Bay Handicap Tips (Race 4)
Sha Tin Roughie - Race 4 No. 1 Glorious Journey
You need a price for the risk with gallopers racing on the All-Weather circuit for the first time and a double figure quote is available for Glorious Journey, who is back in grade to a Class 4.
His trials on this surface have been fine, with the latest resulting in a 1200m heat win on November 29 and that outing followed a narrow third-up defeat over 1650m at Happy Valley.
Glorious Journey relished the class drop when saluting in this company in April last year, where he circled the field and sustained a wide run with the same impost that he carries here.
Reliable Profit is a consistent All-Weather campaigner and the fav is the one to beat, but it appears to a thin race otherwise and each-way odds are available for this five-year-old.
Kam Shan Handicap Tips (Race 5)
Sha Tin Value Bet - Race 5 No. 4 Looks Outstanding
He wouldn't need to be a superstar to figure in this Class 4 and Looks Outstanding has a solid platform for Wednesday's debut tilt, with Hong Kong trials six trials completed this season.
The three-year-old left Australia after leading throughout to win an 800m hit-out last May and he has shown potential in his All-Weather workouts, which includes a third on February 4.
Luke Ferraris has built up a decent rapport with the gelding (been on for his last four trials) and Ferraris has ridden 16 winners for the Mark Newnham stable over the last 12 months.
A wide alley on the All-Weather track isn't necessarily a negative, as horses can avoid the kick-back and Looks Outstanding has been ridden cold in his lead-up work, so he can blend in off a fast speed.
Po Shek Wu Handicap Tips (Race 6)
Sha Tin Best Bet - Race 6 No. 1 Lucky Touch
While he enjoyed a very soft run when breaking through at Happy Valley third-up, the four-year-old was a comfortable victor of a November 13 event that's produced three subsequent winners.
With two fourths, a second and a last start third since that 1650m triumph, Lucky Touch has been honest and he did campaign on the All-Weather track for the first time on January 26.
He was a little tardy away in that most recent appearance and that did prove costly, as the eventual winner was a few lengths closer in transit before being produced in the straight.
Along with having superior Happy Valley ratings over Sky Vino (second fav), Lucky Touch is coming out of a higher rating All-Weather race vs a last start Class 5 winner in Precision Goal (third fav).
Green Island Handicap Tips (Race 9)
Sha Tin Next Best Bet - Race 9 No. 3 Gummy Gummy
The distance rise for Gummy Gummy is the main query for Wednesday's third-up assignment, as he's otherwise building well and he does have good record on the All-Weather circuit.
His only time finishing out of the money on the All-Weather was a sixth-of-twelve when resuming in December and after being back/wide, he was unsuited by the pattern of that race.
Gummy Gummy followed that return up with an unlucky turf showing on January 26, where he was held-up and in restricted room at key stages in the run home (also a little slow away).
Hugh Bowman takes back the reins here (he was aboard first-up) and with a cleaner getaway from barrier one, doing no work in transit will give him every chance to run out 1650m.
