The third and final day of the Irish Derby Festival is headlined by the Pretty Polly Stakes, and Group One race which has been won by many of Ireland's finest fillies and mares. Sunday's card at the Curragh also features two further pattern races, and the thrilling Rockingham Handicap.

We've take a closer look at the four feature races at the Curragh on Sunday and picked out our best betting tips.

Curragh Tips - Sunday 27th June

Race 2 -  Airlie Stud Stakes Tips

After a limp showing in a Listed race here at the Curragh in May, CHEERUPSLEEPYJEAN went into the Queen Mary Stakes as a 50/1 outsider. Fozzy Stack's filly was slowly away and still last with two furlongs to travel, but showed plenty of speed to make up ground in the closing stages and eventually snatch third.

This doesn't look a very strong race, and Cheerupsleepyjean's effort at Royal Ascot is the best piece of form on offer. Chris Hayes' mount won a maiden by two lengths on this track in April, and her breeding suggests she may even improve for this step up to six furlongs.

Race 4 - Rockingham Handicap Tips

Having returned from a 250-day break with a fantastic three-length triumph at Tipperary, JUNGLE JANE was narrowly touched off in last year's renewal of the Rockingham, losing out to favourite Strong Johnson by a short-head.

Since then, Willy McCreedy has been campaigning his mare at a higher level, and she was last seen fading from the front in a very good renewal of the Listed Woodland Stakes back in April. As a result, Jungle Jane returns to the Curragh just one-pound higher in the weights than she was last year. She comes here nice and fresh, and all of her best form is on decent ground.

Race 5 - Pretty Polly Stakes Tips

For the third time this season, I'm keen to take Santa Barbara on, and I'll do so with an old favourite of mine, CAYENNE PEPPER.

Jessica Harrington's filly finished second to Magical on her reappearance in this race 12 months ago, and went on to place second in both the Irish Oaks and the Give Thanks Stakes. Cayenne Pepper then bolted up over course-and-distance in the Blanford Stakes, thrashing Amma Grace and Thundering Nights - who sits third in the market here - by four lengths.

On her return to action this season in the Tattersalls Gold Cup, Jessica Harrington's filly ran on the softest ground she's ever faced and never really found her groove, labouring over the line fourth. That, however, was merely a stepping stone for Cayenne Pepper's return to the Pretty Polly, and I fancy she'll take all the beating on good ground which will really suit.

Race 5 - Curragh Cup Tips

With Passion like to need the run and some cut in the ground to be at her best, and both Amhran Na Bhfiann and Sunchart holding little appeal, I'm happy to side with PONDUS in this weak-looking Curragh Cup.

Joseph O'Brien's five-year-old won a Listed race over 12 furlongs last season, and twice placed second in big Australian handicaps during the autumn. After a poor reappearance run, Pondus ran a cracker in the Race To The Ebor Handicap here 25 days ago, finishing second behind a rival he was giving 12-pounds to at the weights. A reproduction of that performance could be enough to win this.
