2022 Hatton's Grace Hurdle Tips - 16/1 shot the value play at Fairyhouse

Honeysuckle's form may have dipped last season, but she's still clearly the best hurdler in Ireland and I'm not expecting her unbeaten record to be broken on Sunday. With eight runners in the field and two places up for grabs behind Honeysuckle, there's plenty of scope for an each-way wager.

The one I like at the prices is ASHDALE BOB, who won a Grade Two on his only previous visit to Fairyhouse during his novice campaign.

After trying chasing during the first half of last season, Jessica Harrington switched her star back to hurdling at Christmas. Ashdale Bob ran poorly in the Christmas Hurdle at Leopardstown, but went on to finish third in both the Galmoy Hurdle and the Coral Cup, before an excellent second behind Klassical Dream in the Champion Stayers' at the Punchestown Festival.

Sean O'Keeffe's mount was still travelling powerfully behind Flooring Porter turning for home in the Lismullen Hurdle on his reappearance. Ashdale Bob then made a shocking error at the third-last, and didn't jump the final two flights fluently either as he finished a 12-length third behind Home By The Lee and Bob Olinger.

Harrington's seven-year-old should have improved for that return to action and Ashdale Bob's form over hurdles puts him right in the picture here. 16/1 is a generous each-way price.
