Having won the Prix du Jockey Club and the Coral-Eclipse this season, Vadeni is the favourite to make a winning Irish debut on Saturday. Christophe Soumillon's mount will attempt to follow in the footsteps of former stablemate Almanzor, who landed this prize in 2016 before going on to win the Arc.
Aidan O'Brien, winner of the last three Irish Champions Stakes, throws top three-year-old Luxembourg into the mix. Mishriff finished a luckless second to Vadeni in the Coral-Eclipse and he'll be ridden by Colin Keane for the first time.
Vadeni will be joined by fellow French raider, Onesto in the field on day one of Irish Champions Weekend. Tattersalls Gold Cup winner, Alenquer is entered up. Luxembourg's stablemates, Stone Age and Broome round off the field.

With three Ballydoyle runners in the field, I can see this being a tactical affair. Leopardstown is a venue that suits speedy types. Aggressive tactics can often pay off around this tight track too, so any horse who can grab an uncontested lead could be very hard to peg back.
Broome, who can miss the break, has been at his best when ridden positively, so I wouldn't be surprised to see Wayne Lordan cut out the running, or attempt to. Stone Age made all when winning the Derby Trial here over course-and-distance and, from stall one, Seamie Heffernan might also be keen to get out and set a fast pace.
Alenquer was forced to make the running in the Coral-Eclipse, something Willaim Haggas wouldn't have wanted to do. Tom Marquand went a little too hard that day, setting the race up perfectly for the late closers.
I could see something similar happening on Saturday, which would certainly suit Vadeni. MISHRIFF also likes plenty of pace to aim at and I'll back the Gosden's star to reverse those Sandown placings with the favourite.
Mishriff was extremely unlucky in the Coral-Eclipse. As Christophe Soumillon bided his time on the shoulder of the pack, James Doyle attempted to barge between runners. After the door was slammed in his face, Mishriff was angled wide, but his late flourish came in vain as Vadeni held on to win.
Doyle's mount got off to a terrible start next time out in the King George and did well just to finish third. Mishriff was last seen finishing second to Baaeed in the Juddmonte International, a result which will have greatly pleased the Gosden's, considering the peerless strength of the winner.
Mishriff has won Group One races on all kinds of ground and no jockey has ridden more winners around Leopardstown racecourse in the past five years than Ireland's champion, Colin Keane. Vadeni and the other three-year-olds will still get weight from their elders, but I fancy this time, given a clear run, Mishriff will be able to teach the youngsters a lesson.
Verdict
This will be a fascinating race to watch and I'll be cheering home Mishriff, who appeals most in the betting at 4/1.
