Leopardstown Tips - Saturday 10th September
Race 1 - Ingabelle Stakes Tips
18+ only. T&Cs apply. Gamble responsibly.
Johnny Murtagh's stable is coming into form just in time for Irish Champions Weekend and it's his filly, SHEYYA who I fancy backing each-way in Saturday's opener.
Ben Coen's mount came up against a 2/7 favourite of Aidan O'Brien's on debut here at Leopardstown, but Unless had no answer for Sheyya, as Ben Coen's mount up smartly at the two-furlong pole and held on to win by a length. Starspangledbanner has produced many a precocious juvenile and, on the back of that course-and-distance triumph, Sheyya looks overpriced at 11/1.
Race 2 - Sovereign Path Handicap Tips
New customers only. 18+ T&Cs and wagering requirements apply.
Markaz Paname drops down into handicap company after winning a Group Three last time out and Ger Lyon's market leader is greatly respected. Another three-year-old who's landed a kind wide draw at Leopardstown racecourse is ANDREAS VESALIUS, who got no luck when stepped up to seven furlongs for the first time at Gowran Park last time out.
Joseph O'Brien's charge - who ran well in some high-profile pattern races as a juvenile - barged his way through a tiny gap entering the home straight and had his path blocked again a furlong from home, as he began to gather a head of steam. Surprisingly, the handicapper has dropped his mark by three pounds following that luckless effort and Jake Coen's five-pound claimer must give Andreas Vesalius a massive chance.
Race 3 - Champions Juvenile Stakes Tips
18+ only. Ts and Cs apply.
Ryan Moore has opted to ride favourite, Auguste Rodin in this Group Two. I's rather back the Ballydoyle second-string, TOWER OF LONDON, who made a striking debut over course-and-distance back in July.
Despite still looking green and drifting markedly towards the centre of the track, Tower Of London surged down the straight at Leopardstown to claim a commanding three-length victory over several decent rivals.
Wayne Lordan's mount is a full brother to Capri, who won the Beresford Stakes as a juvenile before going on to land the St Leger. If Tower Of London has improved for that debut run, which I suspect he will have, then he could take plenty of beating.
Race 4 - Paddy Power Stakes Tips
18+ only. T&Cs apply. Gamble responsibly.
Four-year-olds filled the first three places in this race 12 months ago. However, that result was somewhat of an anomaly, as three-year-olds have won 14 of the 21 runnings of this Group Three, so it clearly pays to side with the younger runners.
POINT KING ran out an impressive winner of the Vinnie Roe Stakes here over 14 furlongs last time out. Shane Crosse looked under his arm as he kicked his mount into a two-length lead three furlongs from home. Knowing the race was over, he allowed Point King to coast home in the closing stages, eventually winning that Listed race by two lengths.
Joseph O'Brien's three-year-old has the Melbourne Cup on his agenda, but there's no doubt that he has the speed and class to cope with this drop back to a mile-and-a-half.

Race 6 - Boomerang Mile Tips
18+ only. Gamble responsibly. Ts and Cs apply
With Simon and Ed Crisford striking at 50% in recent weeks, and the home challenge looking fairly weak, this is an excellent opportunity for JADOOMI to build on his recent success in the Celebration Mile.
On just his third outing in the last two years, Jadoomi held on gamely from Finest Sound and short-priced favourite, Mutasaabeq to land his first Group Two at Goodwood. The softer the ground, the better as far as Jadoomi is concerned and top rider, Christophe Soumillon comes in for the ride.
Race 7 - Matron Stakes Tips
New customers only. 18+ T&Cs and wagering requirements apply.
Superb Irish 1000 Guineas winner, Homeless Songs makes her triumphant return in the second Group One at Leopardstown racecourse. Dermot Weld's filly is undoubtedly the most likely winner. Yet, given she's been off the track for so long and there's little-to-no value in her current price, I'm happy to look for an each-way alternative.
I'm going to side with that man Christophe Soumillon again and back LIGHTS ON who - like the favourite - has a lengthy absence to overcome, having not been seen since Royal Ascot.
Prior to that ten-length defeat behind Baaeed, Sir Michael Stoute's mare had won the bet365 Mile at Sandown, beating Mutasaabeq and Alcohol Free. Lights On is also unbeaten on soft ground, having held off dual-Group One winner Dreamloper in handicap company last season before a ten-length demolition in the Pipalong Stakes at Pontefract. At 25/1, she offers tons of each-way value.
Race 8 - Petingo Handicap Tips
18+ only. T&Cs apply. Gamble responsibly.
Given the emphasis on stamina, National Hunt trainers often have the upper hand, so it's no surprise to see Gavin Cromwell and Willie Mullins runners sitting near the top of the market. I'll look further down the market, though, and have a small bet on CASK MATE, who could be well-handicapped based on his hurdles form.
Noel Meade's nine-year-old reached a peak mark of 142 over obstacles, thanks mainly to a runner-up finish in the Grade One Royal Bond at Fairyhouse. Chris Hayes' mount didn't run well on his second outing at the Galway Festival last time, but Cask Mate had shaped with promise when fifth behind Echoes In Rain on the opening day of that meeting and I wouldn't be surprised if he was able to get involved.
