Irish Champions Weekend draws to a fitting conclusion at the Curragh on Sunday. Four Group One races feature on the card, including the Irish version of the St Leger which, unlike the British St Leger, is open to horses of three-years-old or over.

We've taken a look through the latest Irish St Leger betting and picked out our top tips.

Kyprios has dominated the staying division this season, winning the Curragh Cup, the Ascot Gold Cup and the Goodwood Cup. Aidan O'Brien's charge will drop back to 14 furlongs on Sunday and Betfair make Kyprios their 8/15 favourite.

Joseph O'Brien will throw six-year-old Raise You into his first Group One. William Haggas' raider, Hamish can also be backed at a single-figure price, as can Paddy Twomey's progressive four-year-old Rosscarberry.

Former two-time winner, Search For A Song will attempt to win back her crown on Irish Champions Weekend. Anthony Mullins has entered up Princess Zoe, with Ger Lyons set to unleash five-year-old Camorra.

Other Irish Champions Weekend runners include Henry De Bromhead's Jason The Militant, Karl Thornton's Shanroe and Jim Bolger's Manu Et Corde.

Kyprios will clearly be incredibly hard to beat in Sunday's main event. Ryan Moore rode his mount aggressively when winning both the Vintage Crop and Levmoss Stakes over this trip earlier in the season. After proving both his class and stamina with Group One victories at Ascot and Goodwood, I can't see Moore hanging around and letting this turn into a sprint to the line.

Manu Et Corde and Seattle Creek may also go forward earlier, but they won't be able to keep ace with Kyprios. If Moore was to get his fractions wrong, then Kyprios could be vulnerable to someone coming from off the pace.

Raise You and Hamish are powerful travellers who possess a finishing kick, so I expect they will keep tabs on the favourite, in the hope of outgunning Kyprios on the run to the line. Rosscarberry has done nothing but improve all season and she boasts winning form over this distance. All three are greatly respected.

Given her record in the race and her current price, I have to take a punt on SEARCH FOR A SONG. Dermot Weld's mare beat St Leger champion Kew Gardens to win this Classic in 2019 and managed to retain her title the following season. After Amhran Na Bhfiann took the field along at break-neck pace last year, Search For A Song was found a little wanting for finishing pace as she finished sixth behind Sonnyboyliston. Chris Hayes' mount then bounced back with an imperious triumph in the Loughbrown Stakes two weeks later - proving again that she comes alive at this time of the year.

Search For A Song's performances during the regular season have been solid. Weld's mare placed second to Kyprios in the Vintage Crop, was beaten just three lengths behind Stradivarius in the Yorkshire Cup and was last seen finishing second to Raise You in the Irish St Leger Trial, where she was forced into making the running.

Weld's stable star won't need to do the donkey work this time and Search For A Song is much more effective when making her challenge from off the pace. 16/1 is an excellent each-way price.

Verdict

Search For A Song usually saves her best for the Curragh at this time of year and I'm expecting a very competitive run from Dermot Weld's two-time Irish St Leger winner.
