The day after the Irish 2000 Guineas is crowned at the Curragh, fillies will take center stage in the Irish 1000 Guineas, which headlines another excellent card on Sunday.

2023 Irish 1000 Guineas Entries

Dominating this betting heat is Dermot Weld's Tahiyra, who won both of her two-year-old starts in 2022. Despite the race coming a few weeks too soon, according to her trainer, Tahiyra was only beaten half-a-length by Mawj in the British 1000 Guineas earlier this month and Weld's star is currently 4/7 to go one better on Sunday.

Meditate was Aidan O'Brien's sole representative in the 1000 Guineas at Newmarket and ran a decent enough race to finish sixth. This time, Meditate is one of four possible runners for Ireland's Champion Trainer, with stablemates Never Ending Story and Jackie Oh also sitting prominently in the market.

Dermot Weld and the Aga Khan could also be represented by Tahiyra's stablemate Tarawa. Eternal Silence could make her reappearance for Jessica Harrington. Fozzy Stack holds a couple of entries, with Aspen Grove and You Send Me both likely to take up their Irish Guineas Weekend entries.

John Quinn's Breege could make the trip over to Ireland for Sunday's feature. Dower House and Jim Bolger's Comhra round off the entries.
