2023 Irish 2000 Guineas Entries
With ante-post favourite Al Riffa ruled out, Chaldean now tops the market for Saturday's Classic. Andrew Balding's star ran out a hugely impressive winner of the 2000 Guineas at Newmarket on his reappearance and could appear at the Curragh before heading onto Royal Ascot.
Kevin Ryan has confirmed that shock 2000 Guineas runner-up, Hi Royal will head to the Curragh to contest his second Classic of the season. Newmarket fourth Galeron could also make the trip over to Ireland again, having won the Goffs Million at the Curragh during his juvenile campaign.
Aidan O'Brien's bid for a 12th Irish 2000 Guineas will be led by Paddington, who has already secured two impressive victories so far this season. Ireland's Champion Trainer could also be represented by Breeders' Cup hero Victoria Road. Age Of Kings, Hans Andersen, Alexandroupolis, Alfred Munnings and Cairo have also been handed entries.
John and Thady Gosden could be represented by Crypto Force, who moved to Newmarket from Mick O'Callaghan's stable back in the autumn. Donnacha O'Brien could drop Proud And Regal down to a mile again, following a third-place finish on his reappearance in the Leopardstown Derby Trial.
Other notable Irish Guineas Festival entrants include Ger Lyons' Hellsing, Karl Burke's Indestructible, James Ferguson's Zoology and Fleetfoot for Jim Bolger.
