Galopin Des Champs kicked off last season with an easy victory in the John Durkan. Willie Mullins' star went on to win the Irish Gold Cup before powering to victory in the Gold Cup at Cheltenham and most bookmakers list Galopin Des Champs as a 2/5 favourite to win this weekend.

Mullins' stable star did, however, suffer a surprise defeat on his final start at Punchestown, where Fastorslow upset Galopin Des Champs and Bravemansgame to claim a shock victory. Martin Brassil's seven-year-old currently sits second in the betting, despite only finishing fifth in this contest 12 months ago.
