The first of three Grade Twos on Kempton's card this Saturday is the Adonis Hurdle. Stars like Well Chief, Binocular and Zarkandar have won this four-year-old contest and horses who impress this weekend will likely go on to run in the Triumph Hurdle at next month's Cheltenham Festival.

Here's the latest Adonis Hurdle betting and a look through the most likely runners.

2024 Adonis Hurdle Entries

Five-time Adonis Hurdle winner, Paul Nicholls will be represented on Saturday by Kalif Du Berlais. A winner at Compiegne in October, Harry Cobden's mount bolted up on his British debut here at Kempton in January and the bookies list Kalif Du Berlais as their even-money favourite.

Sitting second in the market is fellow Triumph Hurdle entrant Givemefive, who's won well on his two hurdles starts thus far for Harry Derham. Jane Williams and Ciaran Gethings will team up with Captain Marvellous, who ran out a wide-margin winner on his second hurdles start at Kempton back in November.

Gary Moore will throw Peking Opera - who ran in several Group Ones on the flat for Aidan O'Brien last year - into the mix following his successful hurdles debut at Sandown. Impressive Taunton winner, Swift Hawk could join stablemate Kalif Du Berlais in the field.

Other possible runners include Dan Skelton's Wetherby winner Kourash, Tom Dascombe's experienced four-year-old Gifted Angel, and Joe Tickle's outsider Taritino.
