We bring you the latest betting for the 2020 Ladbrokes Trophy, after ante-post favourite Topofthegame was ruled out.
Paul Nicholls seemed excited about the prospect of getting Topofthegame back out on the track during his stable tour in October. Nicholls' nine-year-old hadn't been seen since beating Santini and Delta Work in the 2019 RSA Novices' Chase, but has returned to training during the autumn and was being pointed at the Ladbrokes Trophy.
Topofthegame had sat atop the betting for Newbury's big handicap for much of the build-up. Sadly, on Monday afternoon, the betting was turned on it's head, as Nicholls' revealed his star had met with another set-back.
"I'm very sorry to report that Topofthegame is out for the season." Nicholls told reporters on Monday.
"I was hopeful of a big show from him in the Ladbrokes Trophy. All plans are on hold because the tendon injury he suffered last winter is again giving me cause for concern."
"The warning signs have been flashing over the past few days and the decision to draw stumps was taken this morning after discussions with his owners Paul Barber and Chris Giles."
"Scans taken by our vet showed that the original tendon damage is still a little weak. It is the right thing to stop now."

With Topofthegame returning to the treatment table, The Conditional has risen to the top of the market. David Bridgewater's charge finished second to De Rasher Counter at Newbury 12 months ago, before going on to win the Ultima at the Cheltenham Festival.
The Conditional was joined by Aye Right, who can also be found at 10/1 with many firms. Harriet Graham's stable star placed third behind Cyrname and Vinndication in the Charlie Hall Chase at Wetherby, and ante-post punters see that as an excellent prep-race for this huge handicap.
Vinndication could also head to Newbury after finishing second to Cyrname. Kim Bailey's charge remains a 12/1 shot, alongside Copperhead, who was pulled up quickly when appearing to lose his action on his return to action in the West Yorkshire Hurdle.
Another runner from the in-form Kim Bailey stable, Two For Gold has received significant support in the Ladbrokes Trophy betting since finishing second on his reappearance at Wetherby.
Kildisart ran a cracker to place third in the West Yorkshire Hurdle last month, a performance which saw Ben Pauling's star cut into 12/1 to win the Ladbrokes.
De Rasher Counter is a 16/1 shot to retain his crown. Sam Brown can be found at the same price, with Secret Investor, Wholestone and Yaka Enki sitting around the 20/1 mark.
