The opening day of Cheltenham's November Meeting is headlined by the Shloer Chase. This two-mile Grade Two has been the starting point of the season for many of the sport's finest chasers and the betting for this year's contest is dominated by Jonbon, who claimed an impressive victory 12 months ago.

Here's a look through the current Shloer Chase betting and a rundown of the most likely runners.

Unbeaten away from Cheltenham, Jonbon's sole win at Prestbury Park came in this race last year, when Nicky Henderson's star ran out an impressive nine-length winner over three rivals. Jonbon is actually the favourite - with some firms - for the 2025 Champion Chase, having beaten classy Irish rivals at Aintree and Sandown last term.

Edwardstone finished a well-beaten second to Jonbon here at Cheltenham 12 months ago, before finishing closer to the favourite in both the Tingle Creek and the Celebration Chase. Boothill could also renew rivalries with Jonbon, having crossed the line seven-lengths adrift of the market leader when fourth at Sandown back in April.

Master Chewy was only beaten a neck by Found A Fifty in novice company at Aintree last spring, and ran well under 12-00 on his reappearance at Ascot last month. Nigel Twiston-Davies could also be represented by Matata, who was picked off late on by Calico when attempting to make all on his return to action here at Cheltenham.

Dan Skelton has handed an entry to Calico, following that victory over Matata at Cheltenham's Showcase Meeting. The Skelton's could also be represented by Grand Annual winner Unexpected Party. Evan Williams' Libberty Hunter, second to Unexpected Party in that handicap at the Festival, rounds off the entries.
