2020 Durban July Handicap Tips & Betting Predictions
The 2020 Durban July Handicap is a great race and some of the best horses in South Africa will take to the Greyville track on July 6.
It's going to be another great edition of the Durban July Handicap and there will be some good value offered by bookmakers for the 2020 edition.
2020 Durban July Best Bet - Hawwaam @ 2.67
Hawwaam is being considered as South Africa's greatest horse ever, but that can't be justified until he's won the Durban July.
The four-year-old colt has had only six starts for five wins and one second placing. It's an imposing record which shouldn't be overlooked by punters.
He comes into the Durban July with a win at Greyville and that came over many of his Durban July rivals that he will face.
There's certainly a case that he could be South Africa's most promising horse and we're expecting plenty of money to come for Hawwaam on race day.
2020 Durban July Best Each Way - Do It Again @ 5.50
2018 Durban July winner Do It Again is looking to do exactly that. The Snaith-trained runner has been in fine form since that famous win at Greyville last year.
He has won two of his three starts this campaign and his only defeat came at the hands of Rainbow Bridge at Kenilworth.
He's certainly a Greyville specialist and given his experience edge over Hawwaam, he could win again at each-way odds.
2020 Durban July Best Roughie - Tilbury Fort @ 21.00
There's good value with Tilbury Fort, which hasn't run well its last two starts but has plenty of upside.
The six-year-old gelding scored a good win in February at Turffontein before running fourth on the same track. He was no match for Hawwaam following that but he could turn the tables.
Punters are getting odds worth taking with Tilbury Fort and with the inside draw to his advantage, he won't have to do much work in the run.
