South African Racing Tips - Best Bets at Durbanville and Turffontein on September 7th

Durbanville and Turffontein host good cards today, with the first race going off at Turffontein at 11:20am (UK Time). To help you try and find a few winners, here are Magic Tips' South African Horse Racing betting tips for today.
Turffontein Tips - Saturday 7th September
Race 2 - THE SPECIALIST (4)
THE SPECIALIST ran a very good race when second over 1600m in the Grade 1 Premier’s Champion Stakes last time. The son of The United States is having his first run for the Sean Tarry stable. He should have no issues with the drop to 1200m. He is the class horse in this contest and should take a power of beating.
Race 5 - SALENIO PENINSULA (2)
CRUSADE’S STAR followed up his maiden win with a good third-place finish over this C&D. It must be noted that there have been multiple winners from that form line. He meets a similar type of field and from pole position, may be the one to side with.
Race 6 - HIERKOMMIEBOKKIE (1)
HIERKOMMIEBOKKIE is unbeaten from two starts for the Corne Spies stable. She set the pace over 1450m last time and drew clear in the closing stages. It must be noted that the horse that finished second that day has come out and won since. She is likely to race on the speed and can bring up the hat- trick.
Race 7 - UNZEN (3)
UNZEN won a good race in his last start over 1400m on the Standside course, despite over-racing in the early stages. He has won once and finished second twice from six starts on this course. He comes into this race with match fitness on his side which will stand him in good stead. Gavin Lerena retains the ride and the pair can follow up.
Race 8 - GOLDEN PAVILION (3)
GOLDEN PAVILION was a tad disappointing over 1400m on the Standside course last time. It must be noted that the form of that race has been franked. He has won once and finished third once from four starts over this C&D. He takes a slight drop in class and Gavin Lerena may be able to get the best out of him where it matters most.
Durbanville Tips - Saturday 7th September
Race 1 - BE MERRY (7)
BE MERRY is lightly raced with good form lines to her credit. She finished third in the Listed Lady’s Slipper Stakes at Fairview last time. The drop to 1000m is no concern for the daughter of Lancaster Bomber and she should be the one to beat.
Race 2 - BOUNDLESS ENERGY (9)
BOUNDLESS ENERGY produced a decent debut effort over 1100m at Hollywoodbets Kenilworth. He raced from just off the pace and stayed on to finish third. The son of Vercingetorix should enjoy the rise in distance and in this field, he should take a power of beating.
Race 3 - ON MY HONOUR (1)
ON MY HONOUR produced an encouraging debut effort over 1250m on this course. He was green in running but stayed on to finish second. The son of Gimmethegreenlight would have come on from the run and he should enjoy the extra distance on offer. From pole position, he should find himself in the winner’s enclosure.
Race 4 - CUMBRE VIEJA (4)
CUMBRE VIEJA has finished second in his last three starts, the latest of which was over this C&D. He has cracked a good draw of four and if Richard Fourie is able to keep him on a straight line, he should be rewarded for consistency.
Race 6 - MOHANDAS (1)
MOHANDAS stayed on at the finish over 2000m last time but found one too good in the form of King Pelles. He has finished second twice and third once from as many starts on this course. He has cracked pole position and in this type of field, he can go one better
Verdict
The Specialist (Race 2) is Magic Tips' best bet at Turffontein on Saturday. Over at Durbanville, Boundless Energy (Race 2) is the NAP of the day.
