Race 1 - DA CAPO (5)
DA CAPO hails from the visiting Justin Snaith stable. He produced a promising debut effort over 1000m at Durbanville. Despite racing green, the manner in which he stayed on at the finish was encouraging.
Race 4 - BROADSIDE (4)
BROADSIDE has very good consistent form lines to his credit. He raced from just off the pace last time and found another kick in the latter stages. He will love the extra furlong on offer and may be the one to side with.
Race 5 - COLORADO SPRINGS (1)
COLORADO SPRINGS is the best bet on the card. She has top consistent form lines to her credit. She was not disgraced when finishing second behind Jaeger Moon in the Listed East Cape Derby last time. It must be noted that the form of that race has been franked. She has won twice and finished second twice from as many starts over this distance. The daughter of Ideal World should get back to winning ways.
Race 6 - GLOBAL DRUMMER (1)
GLOBAL DRUMMER has very good consistent form lines to his credit. He has won twice and finished third once from as many starts over this C&D. He is likely to have his own way in front once again and should take a power of beating.
Race 8 - CELTILLUS (1)
CELTILLUS finished 0.5 lengths behind ATKINSON GRIMSHAW last time. He is 1kg better off at the weights today and that should be enough for the tables to be turned. He won his only attempt over this distance. The son of Vercingetorix is having his peak run today and should be cherry-ripe. With a bit of luck from his wide draw, he should return to winning ways.
