Race 3 - DA CAPO (4)
DA CAPO should have won last time, but he raced green and shifted away from the crop. It must be noted that the horse that finished fourth that day has come out and won since. The son of Twice Over is a progressive type and should find himself in the winner’s enclosure.
Race 5 - MASTER SUPREME (4)
MASTER SUPREME has showed good guts and determination to win his last two starts, the latest of which was over this C&D. He likes to have his own way in front and keeps finding all the way to the line. Stallone Naidoo takes the ride and the hat-trick is very much on the cards.
Race 6 - TRICKSTER (8)
TRICKSTER is the best bet on the programme. She showed good signs of a form return when finishing fourth over 1200m on this course, four weeks ago. She is the best weighted runner in this contest and the services of 1.5kgs claiming apprentice Kyle Strydom will help her cause. With a bit of luck from her wide draw, she should take a power of beating.
Race 7 - GLOBAL DRUMMER (1)
GLOBAL DRUMMER has won his last three starts with ease. He has won three times and finished second once from as many starts over this C&D. The son of Global View gets the services of 2.5kgs claiming apprentice Yuzae Ramzan which should help his chances. He is likely to have his own way in front once again and should be hard to peg back.
Race 8 - SUBTERFUGE (4)
SUBTERFUGE makes her debut for the Jarett Rugg stable. She should have finished closer to the winner last time as she hung in the latter stages. The daughter of Elusive Fort takes a drop in class today and with Luyolo Mxothwa in the saddle, she may be the one to side with.
