Race 2 - FANTASY GIRL (5)
FANTASY GIRL showed improvement when second in her last start over 1200m on this course. She should have finished closer to the winner that day. The daughter of Global View is a progressive type and she should strip much fitter. She can go one better in this line-up.
Race 4 - MAIDEN’S COVE (7)
MAIDEN’S COVE finished 1.75 lengths behind LADY ZULTANITE last time. She is 2kgs better off at the weights today and there should not be much separating the pair at the finish. The daughter of Quasillo jumps from a good draw of three and she will be mowing down the frontrunners.
Race 5 - GRAZING IN THE GRASS (1)
GRAZING IN THE GRASS was given a peach of a ride when winning his last start over 1900m on the polytrack. He finished 0.5 lengths behind CHERRY ANO in his penultimate run. He is 1kg better off at the weights today which is enough for the tables to be turned. He gets the blinkers fitted and if suited to the headgear, he can follow up with another victory.
Race 6 - KING DUNDEE (3)
Trainer Gavin Smith holds a strong hand in this contest. KING DUNDEE is the pick with Craig Zackey in the saddle. He stayed on well when second in the Listed East Cape Nursery last time. The son of The United States has the ability and may be the one to side with.
Race 7 - FAIRY KNIGHT (1)
FAIRY KNIGHT is a winner of his last four starts, the latest of which was in the Listed East Cape Guineas. The son of Global View should have no issues with the rise to 2400m. He is the class horse in the race and should take the power of beating.
