Race 1 - PEACE IN OUR WORLD (7)
PEACE IN OUR WORLD produced a promising debut effort over 1200m on this course against winners. The manner in which he ran on at the finish was encouraging. The son of Ideal World would have gained from the experience and will love the extra furlong on offer. Lyle Hewitson takes the ride and with the natural improvement that is expected, he should take a power of beating.
Race 3 - JUNGLE PROMISE (12)
JUNGLE PROMISE is a 2yo taking on older rivals. She has shown good improvement in each of her outings to date. She took on winners last time and stayed on nicely to finish third. It must be noted that the horse that finished second that day has come out and won since. The daughter of Redoute’s Promise is back against maidens and can shed her maiden tag.
Race 4 - CALANDRA (2)
CALANDRA has decent consistent form lines to her credit. She has won once and finished third three times from five starts over this distance. The daughter of Irish Flame is the best weighted runner in this contest and if jumping on terms, she can notch up her fifth career victory.
Race 5 - ATYAAB (1)
ATYAAB is much better than his last start in the Grade 3 Caradoc Gold Cup. He has won three times from six starts over this distance. He is likely to have his own way in front in this type of field and should be hard to peg back in the run down to the line.
Race 6 - STRANGER DANGER (4)
STRANGER DANGER finished 1.25 lengths behind BROADSIDE last time. He is 1.5kgs better off at the weights today and that should be enough for the tables to be turned. He has won twice and finished second three times from as many starts over this C&D. He shows good speed in his races and may be hard to peg back in the run down to the line.
