Fairview racecourse hosts its regular Friday meeting today, with the first race set to go off at 10:25am (UK Time). To help you try and find a few winners, here are Magic Tips' South African Horse Racing selections for today.
Fairview Tips - Friday 28th February
Race 2 - POETIC PRINCESS (1)
POETIC PRINCESS hails from the visiting Candice Bass-Robinson stable. She raced from just off the pace against the males last time and stayed on to finish third. The daughter of What A Winter meets the right field and if all went well with her travels, she should find herself in the winner’s enclosure.
Race 3 - FLIGHT ENGINEER (1)
FLIGHT ENGINEER is having his first run for Trainer Kelly Mitchley. It must be noted that the horse that finished second in his last outing has come out and won since. The son of Lancaster Bomber is the stable elect with Muzi Yeni in the saddle and if settled into his new surroundings, he can win a race of this nature.
Race 4 - LOTUS ISLAND (1)
LOTUS ISLAND has won her last two starts with ease. She lost a length leaving the start last time, but quickened up well and won with a ton in hand. She received an eight-pound penalty for that victory. She is in a good space and from pole position, she should bring up the hat-trick.
Race 6 - SPLICETHEMAINBRACE (1)
SPLICETHEMAINBRACE is a winner of her last two starts, the latest of which was over 1400m on this course. It must be noted that the horse that finished fourth that day has come out and won since. The daughter of Master Of My Fate steps back up to 1600m and if keeping on a straight line, she can bring up the hat-trick.
Race 7 - DYNALLEY (3)
DYNALLEY should have finished closer to the winner last time as he had no luck in the straight. The son of Flower Alley is having his third run in the Eastern Cape and will be at peak fitness. He is likely to be settled near the rear of the field from his wide draw and with luck in running, he can cause the upset.

Lotus Island (Race 4) is Magic Tips' best bet of the day at Fairview on Friday.
