Fairview racecourse hosts their second meeting of the week today, with the first race set to go off at 10:30am (UK Time). To help you try and find a few winners, here are Magic Tips' South African Horse Racing selections for today.
Fairview Tips - Friday 7th March
Race 2 - ONE GIANT LEAP (4)
ONE GIANT LEAP showed very good improvement in her local debut over 1200m, last week Friday. The manner in which she finished off her race that day was eye-catching. The daughter of One World will love the rise to 1400m and if this outing has not come too soon, she should go one better.
Race 3 - BOMBER GIRL (2)
BOMBER GIRL should have finished closer to the winner in the Listed Lady’s Pendant. She has won twice and finished second three times from eight starts over this distance. She drops back in Class and with luck in running, she should be hard to peg back.
Race 6 - ASINANTANGA (1)
ASINANTANGA found betting support when touched off in his stable debut over 1600m on this course. He was his own worst enemy that day as he over raced in the early stages and hung inwards in the final 250m. The son of Rafeef should be ideally suited to this distance and if Craig Zackey is able to switch him off early, he can go one better.
Race 7 - JUAN CARLOS (2)
JUAN CARLOS won a good race in his last start over 2000m on this course. He has won three times, finished second twice and third once from seven starts on this track. The son of Frankel meets a similar line-up this afternoon and if jumping on terms, he can notch up his seventh-career victory.
Race 8 - FIREALLEY (1)
FIREALLEY has good consistent form lines to his credit. He finished 2.5 lengths behind BOURNEMOUTH last time. He is 7.5kgs better off at the weights today and that should be enough for the tables to be turned. If seeing out the extra distance on offer, he may find himself in the winner’s enclosure.
