Race 1 - PROMISE OF HOPE (4)
PROMISE OF HOPE hails from the visiting Paul Peter stable. She showed good speed last time, but found one too good in the form of Eternity Ring. The daughter of What A Winter looks to be a progressive type. If suited to the polytrack, she may be hard to peg back in the run down to the line.
Race 2 - FRONTLINE FIGHTER (1)
FRONTLINE FIGHTER produced a promising debut effort over this distance at Turffontein. He understandably raced green that day, but finished his race off well. The son of Captain Of All would have come on with the run under his belt and if all went well with his travels, he should be the one to beat.
Race 4 - RAIN WEAR (4)
RAIN WEAR has finished second in her last three starts. She ran on well at the finish last time, but found one too good in the form of Laurel Lane. She gets the blinkers fitted for the first time which should keep her mind on the task at hand. The daughter of Soft Falling Rain will love the extra distance on offer and can shed her maiden tag.
Race 6 - BAYMAX (4)
BAYMAX is another from the visiting Paul Peter stable. He ran a good race when finishing third over 1800m on the Vaal Classic course last time. He finished second in his only attempt over this distance. If suited to the polytrack surface, the son of Elusive Fort should be the one to beat.
Race 8 - BOOGIE SHOES (3)
BOOGIE SHOES showed some signs of a form return in her last start over 1200m on this course. The manner in which she stayed on at the finish was encouraging. The daughter of Gimmethegreenlight won her maiden over this C&D. She takes a drop in class and from her good draw of three, may be the one to cause the upset.
