South African Racing Tips - Best Bets at Kenilworth and Turffontein on February 8th

Kenilworth and Turffontein host strong cards today, with the first race going off at Turffontein at 10:20am (UK Time). To help you try and find a few winners, here are Magic Tips' South African Horse Racing betting tips for today.
Turffontein Tips - Saturday 8th February
Race 4 - APACHE CHIEF (4)
APACHE CHIEF produced an encouraging local debut over this C&D. He jumped outwards leaving the start and stayed on nicely at the finish. The son of Lancaster Bomber will strip a much fitter horse and with Gavin Lerena retaining the ride, he may be the one to beat.
Race 5 - ZEUS (1)
ZEUS was not disgraced in the Grade 1 Betway Summer Cup last time. He has won three times and finished third twice from six starts over this C&D. It is encouraging that Gavin Lerena steps back into the saddle and the combination can return to winning ways.
Race 6 - LET’S GO NOW (3)
LET’S GO NOW has finished third in her last two starts, the latest of which was over this C&D in the Grade 2 Mike de Kock Ipi Tombe Challenge. It must be noted that the form of that race has been franked. The tongue-tie seems to have done the trick and she can return to winning ways.
Race 7 - COUNT INVICTO (3)
COUNT INVICTO won a good race in the Non-Black Type WSB Heritage Consolation last time. It must be noted that the horse that finished second that day has come out and won since. The son of Royal Mo has class about him and he may be the one to beat.
Race 8 - THE NAVY LARK (1)
THE NAVY LARK stayed on when fourth over 1000m on the Vaal Classic course last time. She finished 2.45 lengths behind WARM WINTER NITE, three runs ago. The daughter of Captain Of All is 7kgs better off at the weights today and that should be enough for the tables to be turned. She can return to winning ways.
Kenilworth Tips - Saturday 8th February
Race 2 - FUTURE TURN (5)
FUTURE TURN ran a good race when second over this C&D last time. He raced from a handy position that day, but found one too good in the form of Promettere. He has won once, finished second twice and third twice from ten starts over this C&D. The son of Futura is likely to race on the speed and he may be hard to peg back.
Race 3 - RICH FOLKS HOAX (1)
RICH FOLKS HOAX made up a lot of ground when 1.9 lengths behind KEBONALASEDI last time. The son of Danon Platina has cracked pole position which could make a massive difference. Craig Zackey knows him well and he should notch up his second-career victory.
Race 4 - GROOVEJET (9)
GROOVEJET is a winner of his last two starts, the latest of which was over 2000m on this course. It must be noted that the form of his last outing has been franked. He has won over this distance previously. The son of Silvano is likely to be settled near the rear of the field from the widest draw and he will be doing his best work at the finish.
Race 5 - INDUSTRIALSTRENGH (2)
INDUSTRIALSTRENGTH should have finished closer to the winner last time as he had to be switched for running room at the 250m mark. It must be noted that multiple horses from that form line have come out and won since. He has cracked a good draw of two and with luck in running, he should be the one to beat.
Race 7 - TOUGH TERRAIN (5)
TOUGH TERRAIN finished 0.6 lengths behind GOLDEN DESTINY last time. He is 1kg better off at the weights today and that should be enough for the tables to be turned. Aldo Domeyer is booked to ride and he may be able to coax that little bit extra out of him where it matters most.
Verdict
Zeus (Race 5) is Magic Tips' best bet at Turffontein on Saturday. Over at Kenilworth, Rich Folks Hoax (Race 3) is the NAP of the day.
