Race 1 - FIFTY FIVER (5)
FIFTY FIVER fought hard in his last start over 1250m at Durbanville, but found one too good in the form of Silver Falcon. The son of Vercingetorix is a progressive type and should get it right this afternoon.
Race 2 - CALL IT FATE (2)
CALL IT FATE showed good improvement when finishing second over 1400m at Durbanville last time. She moved up like a winner that day, but was caught in the latter stages. The daughter of Master Of My Fate meets the right field this afternoon and should shed her maiden tag.
Race 4 - ZAMBAQ (10)
ZAMBAQ has shown good improvement in each of her outings to date. She should have won last time as she was held up for a run between the 300m mark and the 150m mark. The daughter of Rafeef will enjoy the extra distance on offer and with a bit of luck in running, she should find herself in the winner’s enclosure.
Race 5 - WARRIOR BLING (1)
WARRIOR BLING may not have seen out the 2750m in the Listed Glenlair Trophy last time. It must be noted that the horse that finished second that day has come out and won since. He has won twice and finished third once from four starts on this course. The son of Silvano is having his peak run today and should be cherry-ripe.
Race 7 - HEAVEN’S EMBRACE (2)
HEAVEN’S EMBRACE has stayed on at the finish in her last two starts over a mile, which suggests that she will be at home over the extra furlong on offer today. If putting her best foot forward, she can notch up her fourth career victory.
