Race 4 - VERNICHEY (2)
VERNICHEY makes her stable debut for the Adam Marcus yard. She was ultra-impressive when winning a Pinnacle race by four lengths over this distance at Hollywoodbets Scottsville last time. The daughter of Vercingetorix returns from an 18-week break which would have done her the world of good. If not in need of this outing, she should take a power of beating.
Race 5 - WAITING FOR SUMMER (3)
WAITING FOR SUMMER ran a good race in his comeback run behind the highly rated, Trip Of Fortune. The manner in which he stayed on at the finish that day was encouraging. The son of Noble Tune has won his only attempt over this C&D. He should strip a much fitter horse and on his Handicap debut, he should be the one to side with.
Race 6 - GREENGROWTHELILACS (8)
GREENGROWTHELILACS was doing her best work late when finishing fourth in her first run out the maidens last time. The daughter of Gimmethegreenlight will love the rise to the mile and should strip much fitter. She takes a slight drop in class and with a bit of luck from her wide draw, she may be the one to beat.
Race 7 - BALLROOM BLISS (2)
BALLROOM BLISS should have finished closer to the winner last time as she hung in the final 200m. The daughter of Twice Over takes a slight drop in class and should be cherry-ripe. From her good draw of four, she can return to winning ways.
Race 8 - SUNDAY ISLAND (4)
SUNDAY ISLAND is one of the better bets on today’s card. He moved up like a winner in his last start over 1600m at Durbanville, but was caught in the latter stages. The son of Kermadec should love the rise to 1800m and in this type of field, he should shed his maiden tag.
