Vaal racecourse hosts a decent card today, with the first race set to go off at 10:45am (UK Time). To help you try and find a few winners, here are Magic Tips' South African Horse Racing selections this morning.

Vaal Races Tips - Tuesday 15th April

Race 1 - IDEAL SUMMER (3)

IDEAL SUMMER made natural improvement when second over 1600m at Turffontein last time. He stayed on at the finish, but found one too good in the form of Whispering Death. The son of Ideal World is a progressive type and with luck in running, he can go one better.

Race 2 - ALESIAN BEAU (2)

ALESIAN BEAU raced from a prominent position over this distance at Turffontein last time and stayed on to finish third. He would have come on from the run and should strip much fitter. Muzi Yeni retains the ride and he may find himself in the winner’s enclosure.

Race 3 - QUIET WINTER (10)

QUIET WINTER produced a promising debut effort over 1160m at Turffontein. Despite jumping inwards at the start, she showed pace and stayed on to finish third. The daughter of What A Winter should have no issues with the drop to 1000m. Craig Zackey is booked to ride and with the natural improvement that is expected, she should go close.

Race 7 - SONIC JET (5)

SONIC JET was an easy winner of her last start on the Classic course. She set the pace, found another kick and drew clear of the opposition. The daughter of Erupt is unbeaten from two starts over this C&D. She carries a handy galloping mass of 55kgs and can follow up with another victory.

Race 9 - PEARL IN HER CROWN (5)

PEARL IN HER CROWN has shown signs of needing her last two starts on the Turffontein Inside course. It must be noted that the horse that finished second in her last outing has come out and won since. She has won once and finished third once from as many starts over this C&D. Muzi Yeni retains the ride and she can notch up her second-career victory.

Verdict

Sonic Jet (Race 7) is Magic Tips' best bet of the day at Vaal on Tuesday.
